If a Twitch Drop is not appearing, start with Twitch Drops Inventory. It will usually show whether the problem is that Twitch is not tracking eligible viewing, the reward is complete but unclaimed, the wrong game account is linked, or the publisher has not delivered the item yet.
Do not assume that watching longer will fix it. Twitch viewing, claiming, account linking, code redemption, and in-game delivery are separate stages.

The fastest fix
- Open Drops Inventory and inspect the campaign.
- Confirm you are signed in to the intended Twitch account.
- Check the campaign’s start date, end date, game, region, platform, watch requirement, and reward limits.
- Watch one eligible channel showing the Drops Enabled label.
- Check whether progress is increasing for the expected reward.
- At 100%, select Claim in Drops Inventory.
- Determine whether the reward is an automatic item or a redemption code.
- Verify that Twitch is linked to the exact publisher account used by the game.
- Restart the game, launcher, or console app and sign in again.
- If Twitch shows the Drop as claimed but the item is missing, contact the game publisher or promotional partner.
If Twitch is not tracking your watch time
Check that the campaign is active
Open the campaign details in Drops Inventory and verify its dates and requirements. A campaign may have started later than expected, already ended, be limited to selected countries or platforms, require a particular game category, or stop awarding items after a campaign-specific limit.

The game’s presence on Twitch does not prove that every stream currently qualifies. Developers decide which channels participate, and some campaigns apply to all participating channels while others are restricted. Twitch’s Drops guidance explains where campaign dates, associated games, and requirements appear.

Confirm that you are signed in
Twitch must identify your account to credit Drop progress. Watching while logged out, using an expired session, or accidentally using a different account can prevent progress from being recorded.
- Open Twitch and confirm the correct username appears in the profile menu.
- Open Drops or Drops & Rewards.
- Check that the campaign appears in your inventory.
- Return to the eligible stream and confirm that progress changes after watching.
Watch one eligible channel
Twitch credits watch-time progress for only one participating channel at a time. Multiple browser tabs, phones, or streams do not stack progress and do not let you earn several simultaneous watch-time tracks.
If you switched channels, progress may simply continue on the new eligible channel. Check the reward shown in Drops Inventory rather than assuming the stream you opened most recently is tracking the item you want.

Check the content and requirement
Ordinary watch time may not be enough. Some campaigns require a particular category, selected channels, a sequence of rewards, or an additional action. Replays, clips, embedded players, or other content types may not count when the individual campaign excludes them. Treat the campaign’s own instructions as authoritative.
If progress is stuck, refresh Twitch, switch to another eligible channel, sign out and back in, and reopen Drops Inventory. These steps cannot make an inactive or ineligible campaign count, but they can correct a stale session or inventory display.
If the Drop reached 100% but you did not receive it
Completing the requirement and claiming the reward are separate steps. Twitch normally provides a claim notification, but you can usually claim the reward from Drops Inventory while the campaign and its claim window remain active.

- Open your profile menu.
- Select Drops, Drops Inventory, or the equivalent label shown in your interface.
- Find the completed campaign and reward.
- Select Claim.
- Refresh the page and confirm that the status changed to claimed.
If the reward is locked, an earlier reward may need to be claimed first. Some campaigns release rewards sequentially, so claim completed rewards in order instead of treating the locked item as missing.
If the campaign ended before you claimed, the claim button may no longer be available. Campaign-specific terms control deadlines and reward limits. Twitch notes that many developers honor account linking within 14 days after a campaign ends, but that is not a universal promise; a time-limited event can impose a different rule.
If the Drop is claimed but missing in-game
Once Twitch shows an automatic Drop as claimed, the remaining problem is usually account entitlement or publisher-side delivery rather than watch progress.
Check each of these before opening a support ticket:

- Twitch is connected to the correct publisher or developer account—not an old or alternate one.
- The game is using that same publisher account.
- The correct Steam, PlayStation Network, Xbox, Epic Games, or other platform account is connected.
- You are checking the correct game, edition, server, character, mailbox, reward screen, or inventory.
- The reward is available in your region, on your platform, and in your game version or mode.
- The publisher has not reported an outage or stated a delivery delay.
Fully close and restart the game and launcher, then authenticate again. Some rewards do not appear until the game requests a fresh account entitlement.
Use Twitch’s account settings to inspect third-party connections. Verify the target account before unlinking anything. Relinking is not a universally harmless fix: publishers may impose cooldowns, transfer restrictions, or permanent account associations, and an entitlement may not move from one account to another.
Twitch Drop codes are different
Not every Drop is delivered directly to a game account.

Automatic in-game reward
- Complete the campaign requirement.
- Claim the reward in Twitch Inventory.
- Wait for the publisher or partner to deliver it to the linked game account.
No separate code-entry step is normally required.
Code-based reward
- Complete the requirement.
- Claim the reward in Twitch Inventory.
- Copy the code.
- Redeem it on the partner’s official website or service.
- Follow the partner’s instructions for receiving the item or access.
An invalid, expired, already-used, or rejected code is generally a partner-side redemption issue, not a Twitch watch-time issue. See Twitch’s code-based rewards guidance and use only the partner’s official redemption page.
Why the campaign is not visible
The newer Twitch Drops Campaigns page does not necessarily list every older “classic” Drop campaign. Therefore, its absence alone does not prove that a promotion is invalid. Check the campaign announcement, the associated game’s official instructions, and Drops Inventory.
Also check that you are looking at the correct Twitch account, language, region, and device interface. Menu labels can vary by language, device, and Twitch interface revision.

For Twitch-side problems, use Twitch Support. If Twitch confirms the reward as claimed but the game does not show it, the developer or promotional partner controls redemption and in-game fulfillment.
What to include in a support request
- Your Twitch username.
- The game, campaign, and reward name.
- Campaign start and end dates.
- A screenshot of Drops Inventory showing progress or claim status.
- The approximate time you completed and claimed the reward.
- The linked publisher account, with email addresses, IDs, and other sensitive details redacted where appropriate.
- Your platform and game region.
- The code error message, if the reward is code-based.
- Your game account, server, character, mailbox, or inventory location checked.
Do not send passwords, authentication codes, or a full unredacted account screenshot.
Frequently asked questions
Can I watch two channels at once?
You can open multiple streams, but Twitch credits progress for only one participating channel at a time. Multiple streams do not speed up a Drop.
Can I switch channels?
Yes, if the new channel is eligible for the same campaign. Progress does not multiply, so confirm that the new stream shows Drops Enabled and monitor the intended reward in Inventory.

Do I need to claim the reward?
Usually, yes. Reaching 100% does not always deliver the reward automatically. Claim it in Drops Inventory before the campaign’s claim window closes.
Can I link my game account later?
Sometimes. Twitch’s general guidance allows later linking, and many developers honor it within 14 days after a campaign ends, but campaign-specific rules can differ. Do not assume retroactive delivery.
Can I get the same Drop twice?
Usually not. Developers may set reward limits or restrict each account to one reward. Check the campaign terms.
Can I use a different Twitch account?

What if the campaign ended?

Do Twitch Drops work on every device and content type?
Do not assume so. Campaign rules may restrict the category, channel, platform, region, or content type. Follow the promotion’s exact instructions.
