Short answer: Roblox gift cards are currently unavailable to some Microsoft Rewards users, but Microsoft has not confirmed that they were permanently discontinued or explained a Roblox-specific reason. The missing reward may reflect temporary stock, a catalog change, regional availability, or account eligibility. A public Roblox Rewards page is not proof that the card is currently redeemable for your account.
As of the latest available information from August 16, 2026, there is no official Microsoft announcement giving a removal reason or return date.

What Microsoft officially says
Microsoft says Rewards catalogs vary by country, region, market, and sometimes account. Gift cards are also not always available. Its guidance tells users to check back regularly, but says support cannot provide a specific restock or removal date.
That makes the safest description of the situation: the Roblox reward is unavailable to some or many users, but permanent cancellation has not been confirmed.

What happened to the 400, 800, and 1,000 Robux options?
In an April 2026 Microsoft Q&A thread, a user reported that 400-, 800-, and 1,000-Robux options had previously appeared and later disappeared. The question was posted on April 22, and a Microsoft moderator responded on April 23 without confirming whether the change was temporary or permanent.
Those denominations should not be treated as universal. Rewards catalogs differ by market, so another country or account may have shown different options. The Q&A exchange documents a user report, not a Microsoft-wide inventory announcement. You can read it at Microsoft Q&A.

There are three realistic possibilities:
- Temporary stock or catalog availability: Microsoft says some gift cards are not always available and advises users to check again later. This is plausible, but Microsoft has not said that Roblox cards specifically are merely out of stock.
- Market or account eligibility: A reward can be available in one country, market, or account while missing from another. Catalog changes can also be staggered rather than occurring for everyone at once.
- Permanent or phased removal: This remains possible, but there is no public Microsoft confirmation establishing it.
The evidence supports Microsoft’s general availability and regional explanations, but it does not identify the internal status of the Roblox reward. “Definitely out of stock” and “permanently canceled” are both stronger claims than the available evidence allows.
Could this be a regional or account-specific problem?
Yes. Check the account and market before concluding that the reward has disappeared everywhere. Microsoft says offers can vary by country or region, current location, travel status, market, and account.

Two players in the same broad country may not see identical Rewards catalogs. A saved goal or search result may also remain visible even when the underlying item cannot be opened or redeemed.
Do not use a VPN or proxy to imitate another country. Microsoft warns that cross-market access can cause redemption problems and may violate Rewards rules. A screenshot showing Roblox cards in another market is not evidence that those cards are available to your account.
Does Microsoft’s Roblox Rewards page prove the cards are still available?
No. Microsoft’s Roblox Rewards page says users can turn Microsoft Rewards points into Robux, but it is a public promotional page. It may remain online even when the reward is unavailable in a particular market or account.
There is an important difference between:
- a live promotional page;
- a Roblox reward tile visible in your catalog;
- a reward that your account can actually order; and
- a code that successfully redeems on Roblox.
Only the signed-in Rewards catalog and a successful transaction establish current availability for your account.
How to check whether Roblox Rewards is available for you
- Sign in to the Microsoft account that earned the points.
- Open the Microsoft Rewards dashboard and go to Redeem.
- Search for “Roblox” and “Robux.” Also check “Microsoft gift card” and “Xbox gift card” for possible alternatives.
- Confirm that the account’s country or region matches your actual Rewards market.
- If you are traveling, wait until the account and location are consistent rather than trying to force another market with a VPN.
- Check again later. Microsoft does not publish a Roblox restock schedule or guaranteed return date.
If you previously ordered a Roblox reward, do not assume the code vanished. Open Rewards Order History, select the order, and choose Order Details to look for the code or redemption link. Microsoft provides related account and code guidance through its Rewards help page.

Can a Microsoft or Xbox gift card replace a Roblox gift card?
Possibly, but it is not a guaranteed substitute. If a Microsoft or Xbox gift card is available in your Rewards catalog, redeeming it adds balance to your Microsoft account. Microsoft says that balance can be used in participating Microsoft Stores, Windows, or Xbox.
Whether it can be used to buy Roblox content depends on the applicable Microsoft or Xbox storefront, Roblox’s availability through that platform, the user’s account setup, regional billing rules, and the specific purchase being offered. Microsoft account balance is not automatically convertible into a Roblox gift-card code or universally accepted for every Roblox purchase.
Before spending points, check that:
- Roblox is available through the relevant Microsoft Store or Xbox storefront;
- the Roblox account and platform account can be used together as required;
- the desired Robux purchase is offered through that platform; and
- the gift card’s region and account restrictions match your account.
Microsoft’s gift-card redemption instructions and gift-card terms explain the relevant balance and geographic limitations. Do not assume that the point cost has the same value as the old Roblox option: Rewards rates and denominations vary by market and offer. Microsoft says roughly 5,000 points commonly corresponds to something worth $5, but this is not a current Roblox exchange rate.

Roblox gift-card redemption is generally completed in a web browser, not through the standard Roblox mobile app or console redemption flow. Samsung Galaxy users have a stated in-app exception. Use Roblox’s official gift-card redemption instructions, check the characters carefully, and confirm that you are signed into the intended Roblox account.

If Microsoft issued the code but the Rewards order is missing, contact Microsoft Rewards support. If the code was issued and Roblox rejects it, contact Roblox Support rather than trying unofficial code formats or repeated guesses. Roblox says its gift cards can be redeemed worldwide with local-currency conversion, subject to its terms and account conditions.
What Microsoft has not said
There is no verified Microsoft or Roblox announcement stating that Roblox gift cards were removed because of Roblox’s moderation controversies, safety issues, or another Roblox-specific policy decision. Those explanations appear in community speculation, but they should not be presented as facts.
Microsoft has also not published a fixed return date. Claims that the cards will return on a particular day are speculation unless Microsoft announces that date directly.
Other options if you need Robux now
If waiting is not practical, Roblox’s official gift-card information page is the safest starting point for finding authorized purchase channels in your country. This is a paid alternative, so it does not preserve the free-with-Rewards-points benefit.
You can also keep earning Microsoft Rewards points and use them for another reward you genuinely need. Avoid “free Robux” generators, unofficial code sellers, VPN services, and unknown reward apps. They can expose accounts and devices to scams, malware, or theft, and they cannot restore a missing Microsoft Rewards catalog item.
What happens to points you already saved?
The disappearance of one reward does not by itself invalidate your Microsoft Rewards points. However, Microsoft says points can expire after 12 months without earning or redeeming activity. If you are saving for Roblox, review the current account rules and avoid letting the balance sit indefinitely without activity.
Availability and redemption requirements can change after publication, so the live catalog—not old screenshots, search snippets, or community comments—is the authority for your account.
