Start with the exact message you see rather than repeatedly resetting your password. The steps below follow Ubisoft’s guidance current as of October 8, 2026.
Start with the symptom

If Ubisoft emails are missing
First confirm that you can sign in to the email account associated with your Ubisoft account. If you cannot access that mailbox, Ubisoft directs you to your email provider’s account-recovery process. If the mailbox works, look in spam, junk, and promotions folders. Ubisoft lists [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] as addresses you can allow or whitelist. See Ubisoft’s email troubleshooting guidance.
If email sign-in is unavailable but you previously linked a platform account, you may be able to access Account Management by signing in through that platform. This is conditional; Ubisoft does not promise that the route is available for every account or platform state. Check Ubisoft’s Account Management sign-in guidance.
If Ubisoft Connect reports that a service is unavailable
The Ubisoft Connect PC message “A Ubisoft service is not available at the moment” indicates that the client cannot connect to Ubisoft Services. It is a connectivity message, not by itself evidence of an incorrect password. Check the Ubisoft Help home page for a listed outage or degradation. If Ubisoft says your account is temporarily locked
A temporary lock can prevent access to Ubisoft login pages, online games, and services. Ubisoft identifies too many failed login attempts as one possible reason. It says it cannot remove temporary locks and will email you after the sanction is lifted, so wait for that notification rather than repeatedly attempting to sign in or asking support to lift it. Once access returns, change your password and enable 2-Step Verification. Read Ubisoft’s information about temporary account locks and its 2-Step Verification guidance.
If a platform profile is linked to another Ubisoft account
An error such as a PC Game Pass message that an Xbox account is already linked can mean the platform account belongs to a different Ubisoft account than the one you are trying to use. Before unlinking anything, identify the Ubisoft account that owns the platform link. Ubisoft warns that unlinking and relinking external accounts can permanently affect games and subscriptions; a previously linked platform account may be the only one that can be relinked. If you need a different platform account linked, contact Ubisoft Support rather than experimenting with unlinking. See Ubisoft’s account-linking guidance and its unlinking guidance.

If you suspect the account was compromised
Use Ubisoft’s official account-recovery direction or contact Ubisoft Support if recovery is not working or you suspect someone else accessed the account. The exact recovery flow can change, so follow the live instructions rather than relying on a fixed sequence from an old guide. Never share your password with anyone: Ubisoft’s Terms of Use, section 2.2, says, “Never share your Account details (username, password…) with anyone. We will never ask you to reveal your password.”

If you believe a permanent lock was applied by mistake, submit an appeal through Ubisoft’s official process. Include the sanctioned account’s username and the reason for your appeal. The lock and appeal guidance is in Ubisoft’s sanction appeal information.
