The developer also cited its respect for the voice actors and its artistic vision. The idea that the decision is meant to prevent refunds is speculation: the reported explanation does not mention refunds.
Why did TeamKill Media say Code Violet isn’t coming to PC?
In a statement reported by GameSpot on January 21, 2025, TeamKill Media said it did not want players modding “vulgar versions” of the main character and other characters. The studio also said it held its voice actors in high regard and wanted to protect its artistic vision for the game and story.
GameSpot quoted the developer as saying: “Making a joke out of our art and possibly tarnishing the reputation of our voice actresses and actors is not worth the extra money we can make [on PC].” The comments were attributed to TeamKill Media; the report did not identify a named executive as the speaker.
Is the PC decision meant to prevent refunds?
There is no evidence in the reported explanation that refunds motivated the platform decision. TeamKill Media’s quoted comments discuss mods, the cast, and the studio’s artistic vision—not PlayStation’s refund rules. Treat the refund theory as speculation, not as the developer’s stated reason.

What do PlayStation’s refund rules actually say?
PlayStation’s Canada and UK cancellation policies generally allow cancellation of a game or add-on within 14 days of purchase only if downloading or streaming has not started. Once it has started, the policy generally excludes refunds unless the content is faulty. The UK policy also explains that buyers consent to immediate digital delivery.
These are regional policy terms, not a complete account of every buyer’s legal rights. The Canada policy says it does not limit or replace rights under applicable local law. The rules should not be simplified to “PlayStation never gives refunds” or to a claim that any amount of play automatically removes every possible remedy. See the Canada cancellation policy and the UK cancellation policy.

PlayStation did offer full refunds for Concord after sales ceased, as its support page explains. That was a remedy for a specific title; it does not establish a general policy change or say anything about Code Violet refund eligibility.
