If Homescapes is crashing, freezing, running slowly, refusing to update, showing connection errors, or losing sound, start by restarting your device and the game, then update Homescapes and your operating system. If that fails, check storage and compatibility before reinstalling. Save or link your progress first whenever possible, because reinstalling can require account recovery.
Quick fixes to try first
- Close Homescapes, restart your device, and open the game again.
- Update Homescapes from the store where you installed it.
- Install any available iOS, Android, Windows, or macOS update.
- Check that you have enough free storage and a stable internet connection.
- Confirm that your device meets Homescapes’ current system requirements.
- Reinstall the game from the official application store only if the earlier steps do not help.
Homescapes was updated on Google Play on August 6, 2026, although Google Play’s accessible listing does not show a version number. Updates can arrive at different times on different platforms because store review may delay availability by several days.

Before reinstalling: protect your progress
Do not assume that deleting Homescapes is risk-free. Playrix says progress can save automatically when the device is online, but linking the game provides a stronger recovery route.
- Open Settings or the title screen.
- Select Save Progress.
- Sign in with Facebook, Apple ID, or a Google account.
Apple ID saving requires iOS 13 or later, or macOS 10.15 or later. Also record your Player ID from Settings and your team name from the Team tab before deleting the app.

On Android, you can also clear the game’s cache at:
Settings → Applications → Homescapes → Clear Cache

If the game will not update on Android
For update failures, Playrix recommends working on Google Play or Download Manager rather than immediately deleting Homescapes’ data:
- Google Play: Settings → Apps & notifications → App info or Show all apps → Google Play → Storage → Clear cache.
- If necessary, use Clear storage → Delete all data → OK.
- If the issue continues, repeat the process for Google Play Services.
- For Download Manager: Settings → Apps & notifications → App info or Show all apps → Download Manager → Storage, then clear its cache or data.
Homescapes will not update
Open the game’s store page and check whether the button says Update. Common causes include:
- Less than 500 MB of free space on a mobile device.
- Less than 2 GB of free space on a Mac.
- An unstable, restricted, or heavily limited connection.
- Public Wi-Fi with traffic or speed restrictions.
- Incorrect device date or time.
- A temporary store or device problem.
Free storage, switch to reliable home Wi-Fi or strong mobile data, enable automatic date and time, and restart the device. If the update remains unavailable, reinstalling may obtain the latest version available for that platform. An update appearing on one platform but not another does not necessarily indicate a fault.
“Device not compatible” on Android
First try:
- Settings → Apps → Google Play Store → Storage → Clear data.
- If that fails, open Settings → Apps → Google Play Market and choose Uninstall updates.
- Restart the device and reinstall Homescapes.
The message may also be accurate. Playrix lists Android 5.0 or later, at least 1 GB of RAM, and 500 MB of free storage for mobile devices. Playrix no longer supports devices with less than 1 GB of RAM. Older devices using the PowerVR SGX540 GPU, including some older Galaxy Tab 2 and Kindle Fire models, may have graphics problems.

Homescapes is slow, laggy, or overheating
Restart the device, update Homescapes, update the device software, and reinstall the game if necessary. Then check the minimum requirements and close other demanding apps.
Heat alone does not prove that Homescapes is malfunctioning. Playrix notes that resource-intensive games can make many devices warm, including high-performance models. If the device becomes unusually hot, shows a temperature warning, shuts down, or remains unstable outside the game, stop using it while hot and investigate the device separately.
Homescapes says there is no internet connection
- Check that the device is connected.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or test another network.
- Restart the device and reload Homescapes.
- Open another app. If it also cannot connect, the problem is probably with the device or network.
- Contact your internet provider if other apps are affected.
- Contact Playrix if only Homescapes has the connection problem.
Wi-Fi is not universally required: the Google Play listing says basic play can work without an internet connection. Internet access is still needed for updates, progress synchronization and saving, competitions, and other online features.
Graphical glitches or missing visual elements
Restart the device, reinstall Homescapes, check for game and operating-system updates, and verify the hardware requirements. If the problem remains, send Playrix a screenshot or video. Older Android hardware—especially devices using the PowerVR SGX540 GPU—is a known compatibility concern listed by Playrix.

- Refined bumpers and D-pad. Light and tactile.

Music or sound effects are missing
- Open Homescapes’ settings and make sure music and sound effects are enabled.
- Restart the game and then restart the device.
- Check that the device is not muted and that media volume is high enough.
- Plug in and unplug headphones.
- Stop any music-player app running in the background.
- Test another app to determine whether the sound problem affects the whole device.
A level restarted after a phone call or leaving the app
Playrix says the game can sometimes be removed from device memory after an incoming call or after leaving to send a message. Recent level actions may not have been saved. That does not necessarily mean that your entire mansion progress or account was erased.
Progress disappeared after reinstalling or changing devices
Reinstall Homescapes, restart the device, and connect the game to the Facebook, Google, or Apple ID account previously used. Choose Load game, type CONFIRM, and select OK.
Synchronization depends on the platform:
- Facebook can transfer progress between iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac.
- Google-account synchronization applies between Android devices.
- Apple ID synchronization applies between iOS and macOS devices.
- The Facebook edition cannot transfer progress to other Homescapes platforms.
After a factory reset, automatic restoration requires that the game was connected to Facebook, Apple ID, or Google. If recovery fails, contact Playrix with your Player ID, team name, in-game name, cat’s name, level, mansion room, last completed tasks, and any relevant purchase receipt.

How to contact Playrix
iOS or Android
Open Settings → Help and Support, open any help article, tap No under “Was this helpful?”, then tap Contact Us. Describe the problem, select Submit, and choose the appropriate problem type. If a conversation is already open, use New conversation.
Windows or Mac
On Windows, open Settings → Help and Support, describe the issue, and select Submit. On Mac, open Settings → Help and Support and select the chat icon in the lower-right corner.
If Homescapes will not open, use the chat icon on Playrix’s web-support page. It is not live chat, so a response may take time. For lost or transferred progress, Playrix recommends contacting support through the in-game settings when possible.
Recommended Free Tools
Include useful evidence
Tell support the exact failure, what action triggers it, when it began, whether it followed an update or device change, the exact error message, and whether other apps are affected. Attach a screenshot or video. Include your Player ID and team name for progress-related problems.
Bottom line
Most Homescapes problems should be approached in this order: restart, update, check storage and connection, update the operating system, verify compatibility, and reinstall only after linking your progress. If the game still fails, give Playrix the exact trigger, error message, device details, and visual evidence rather than sending a vague crash report.
