If MC Command Center (MCCC) is missing from The Sims 4, first check that both custom content and script mods are enabled, then confirm MCCC is extracted into the game’s actual Mods folder no more than one folder deep. If the game lists the files but the menu is still missing, check game-version compatibility, logs, conflicting mods, and whether the module’s options belong on a different interaction menu.
Start with where MCCC is missing
The next check depends on the symptom. If MCCC is absent from the game’s Script Mods list, focus on settings, extraction, folder location, and folder depth. If it appears in the list but its menus do not, look at compatibility and whether the script is running. If just one interaction menu lacks an option, the option may belong elsewhere.

Enable custom content and script mods
In The Sims 4, open Game Options > Other and enable both the custom content/mods setting and the script mods setting. A game update can turn mod settings off, so check them again after updates. Restart the game after changing them. Deaderpool’s official troubleshooting guide covers these settings and other common detection problems.
Check that MCCC is extracted into the right folder
The game must be able to find the MCCC script file, mc_cmd_center.ts4script. Download archives need to be unzipped; placing the ZIP itself in Mods will not install the script. Keep the MCCC files together in the active Sims 4 Mods folder or one subfolder within it, such as Mods/MCCC.

Script files cannot be buried in nested folders. Deaderpool’s installation instructions state: “The Sims 4 will only go one-level deep when looking for script mods.” For example, Mods/Script Mods/MCCC is too deep. The mc_cmd_center.ts4script file is required; additional MCCC modules are optional.
Make sure you are using the Mods folder for the Sims 4 installation and user data the game is actually running, rather than a similarly named folder or an archive’s extracted copy elsewhere. If the files still are not detected, Deaderpool suggests moving them temporarily to the main Mods folder. If that makes them appear, a damaged resources.cfg may be involved; the troubleshooting guide says deleting it allows the game to generate a replacement.

Match MCCC to your installed Sims 4 version
Read the game version shown on the main menu, then compare it with the compatibility notes on Deaderpool’s Downloads page. As of October 8, 2026, that page lists MCCC 2026.5.0 as tested with the September 22, 2026 Sims 4 update: PC version 1.128.90.1030 and Mac version 1.128.90.1230. The creator warns that earlier game versions may not be compatible. For Legacy Edition, the FAQ identifies MCCC 6.6.0.
Do not assume third-party version metadata is more current than the creator’s compatibility notes. The CurseForge listing for MCCC 2026.5.0 shows an upload date of September 6, 2026 and supported game version 1.125.59, while Deaderpool’s later compatibility entry names the September 22 patch. For deciding whether your installed game is supported, use the creator’s current compatibility statement.

If the files are listed but no menu appears
Being listed in the game’s Custom Content or Script Mods section confirms the game found the files; it does not prove the script loaded correctly. Deaderpool’s troubleshooting documentation makes this distinction explicitly. Check whether an MCCC welcome notification appears when the game starts, then look for mc_cmd_center.log and LastExceptions.txt in the Sims 4 user folder.
On a first install, the log and configuration files may not exist until MCCC runs. If the game lists the files but no MCCC log appears, revisit version compatibility and folder depth before assuming the menu itself is the only problem.

Rule out mod conflicts and storage permissions
Outdated mods or custom content and configuration issues can interfere with MCCC. Temporarily remove other mods and test whether the problem remains, then consult Deaderpool’s FAQ and the troubleshooting page’s known-conflicts guidance. If the symptom disappears without the other mods, restore them in groups or one at a time to narrow down the conflict.
If an error includes PermissionError: [Errno 13] and a OneDrive path, the creator identifies OneDrive synchronization or the folder location as a possible reason MCCC settings cannot be saved. Check that the game and MCCC can write to the relevant user-data folder.

Check the menu that belongs to the module
Not every MCCC feature appears on every interaction menu. Deaderpool’s FAQ says MC Woohoo settings are found on the computer menu, while MC Cheats commands appear on Sims or the mailbox. If you are looking for a module option on a different menu, its absence there does not necessarily indicate a failed installation.
Account for a rare disappearing or duplicate menu
The MCCC developer’s 2026.5.0 changelog acknowledges rare reports of the Sim, relationship-panel, or computer MCCC menu disappearing or appearing twice. The reports could not be reproduced; the developer suggests a possible connection to EA’s Mod Marketplace and describes changes intended to see whether they help. The cause and whether those changes resolve every case remain unconfirmed.
Get support with useful details
If the checks above do not resolve the issue, Deaderpool directs users to its Discord support channels for MCCC and general Sims 4 help. The support FAQ explains that helpers need enough detail to analyze and reproduce a problem. Include:
