Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIf your Roblox character suddenly looks bald, the issue is usually that hair is not equipped or is not displaying correctly. Check the avatar’s Hair category first, then try Redraw. These steps are about your Roblox avatar—not real-world hair loss.
How to fix a bald-looking Roblox avatar
-
Check whether a hair item is equipped
In Roblox’s browser Avatar Editor, open the Hair category and select a hair item to equip it. To remove an item, find the highlighted item and select it again. The exact controls may differ on other platforms.
-
Use Redraw if the editor does not show your change
If you added or removed an item but the avatar still appears incorrectly, select Redraw beneath the avatar image. Roblox says regenerating the thumbnail may take a few minutes. See Roblox’s browser avatar customization instructions.
-
Compare the avatar in another experience
If the avatar looks bald in only one experience, compare it with another and check the first experience’s details for its Allowed Gear setting. Roblox says most experiences do not allow Gear brought from outside, but that general rule does not establish that an experience is hiding hair specifically. See Roblox’s explanation of Virtual Gear.

-
Read any avatar reset notification
Roblox says an avatar configuration that violates its Community Standards may be automatically changed to a default appearance, with an in-app message explaining the reset. If you received one, read it and use the editor to restore your look with permitted items. A missing hairstyle alone does not show that Roblox reset your avatar. See Roblox’s avatar reset guidance.
What might be causing the missing hair?
Hair may simply be unequipped, or the displayed avatar may not have updated after an edit. If the problem happens only in one experience, its settings are worth checking, but Roblox’s available guidance describes restrictions on outside Gear generally—not a universal hair-specific override. Other explanations, such as accessory overlap or a loading problem, are possibilities rather than confirmed causes in your case.
