Most Roblox gift-card errors are worth checking first at Roblox.com/redeem in a web browser: make sure you are signed into the intended account, then re-enter the code and check for look-alike characters. If the message says the card was already redeemed, that is a different problem—check your other Roblox accounts before contacting support.
Redeem the card in a supported place
Roblox directs users to redeem gift cards at Roblox.com/redeem in a browser. Gift-card redemption is unavailable in the standard Roblox mobile app and on consoles. Samsung Galaxy users have an in-app redemption option.
- Open a web browser and go to Roblox.com/redeem.
- Sign in to the Roblox account that should receive the card’s value.
- Enter the code and submit it on the redemption page.
Check for characters that look alike
Roblox recommends trying these substitutions when a code produces an error. Compare the code on the card or e-gift card with what you entered; test only the relevant characters.
| Printed or entered character | Try instead |
|---|---|
| 0 (zero) | O |
| 1 | I (capital i) |
| 2 | Z |
| 5 | S |
| 6 | G or Q |
| 8 | B |
“Invalid code” and “already redeemed” are not the same error
If Roblox says the code is invalid
After checking the redemption page and the look-alike characters, do not assume the card is inactive, expired, damaged, or region-locked. Roblox’s public instructions do not identify a cause for every invalid-code error. If the code still fails, contact Roblox Support with the purchase and card details listed below.

If Roblox says the code was already redeemed
Roblox says the value may have been added to another account. Check the balances of any other Roblox accounts you use. If the card was sealed and untampered with when you bought it and you cannot find the value on your accounts, contact Roblox Support with the receipt and code.
Know what kind of value the code adds
Not every retailer’s Roblox code adds Roblox Credit. Some codes sold by online retailers, including Amazon gift cards, redeem directly for Robux. Roblox also identifies Party Packs as redeemable for Robux only, not Roblox Credit. Roblox says gift-card codes can be redeemed worldwide, with the value converted automatically to the account’s local currency.

Contact Roblox Support with the evidence it requests
If the code continues to fail, Roblox asks users to provide information that helps identify the purchase and card. Prepare:
- Your Roblox username.
- The purchase date and amount.
- The purchase location and city.
- Your country of residence.
- The gift-card PIN and serial number.
- An image of the receipt.
- Images of the physical card or e-gift card.
- An image of the error, if applicable.
Roblox says images should be JPG or PNG. If you bought the card through Roblox.com/shopgiftcards and the problem is with the digital purchase PIN, Roblox directs users to CashStar’s customer support form.

Avoid fake code offers and requests for your PIN
Roblox says free-Robux codes do not exist and warns that offers of free codes are scams. Do not give your gift-card code to someone promising free Robux or asking you to use it to pay a non-Roblox debt. Roblox says gift cards should be used for Roblox Credit or Robux when applicable.
