“Pending” can mean several different things on Roblox, and each one has its own timing and its own fix. Robux from Experience Pass sales are held in escrow until a holding period ends. An incoming transfer waits until the recipient accepts it and clears any age or parent-approval steps. A security Delayed Action can hold sensitive actions involving Robux for a set period. A purchase can lag during a Roblox outage or maintenance. A card charge can show as pending on your bank statement even though it has nothing to do with your Robux balance. Roblox does not publish one universal duration for any of these, so identify which case applies before you wait or take action.
Start with My Transactions
On the web, log in to the Roblox account where the Robux were earned or purchased, select the Robux amount, and open My Transactions. The page offers filters for Summary, Currency Purchases, Premium Stipends, Purchases, Sales of Goods, Creator Rewards, and Group Payouts. Choosing the right filter tells you whether the entry is a sale, a transfer, a purchase, or a reward, and that determines which explanation applies. Pending Robux are listed there as well.
Next, check your email and in-app notifications. A transfer acceptance request, a parent-approval request, a security alert about a Delayed Action, or a Roblox service notice will usually arrive there before you see any change in your balance.
The five situations that look like pending Robux

The timing column comes from Roblox’s help pages, which show no publication date for these figures. Treat them as Roblox’s current guidance rather than guaranteed release times, and confirm them on the live article if the wait is important to you.

Cause by cause
Experience Pass sales held in escrow
Roblox states that Robux earned from Experience Pass sales are held in pending status, which it calls escrow. In Roblox Support’s words, “This pending status is called escrow.” Once the holding period ends, the Robux move into the account total. Experience Pass sales are also subject to a transaction fee, so the amount that reaches your balance can be lower than the gross price buyers paid.
If you expected a sale and do not see it in your sales history or in Pending Robux, the escrow explanation may not apply. Check the Sales of Goods and Creator Rewards filters first, then contact Roblox Support if the transaction is still unexplained.

Incoming transfers waiting for acceptance
When someone sends you Robux, you receive a notification that the transfer is pending and must select Accept. After you accept, the Robux are added immediately. If you are under 16, the account needs a linked parent account, and a parent must approve each incoming transfer. Some regions require parent approval for users under 18. Until those requirements are met, the Robux stay in Pending Robux in My Transactions.
Roblox’s transfer help also states that users 16 and older must complete an Age Check, and that sending Robux requires Roblox Plus. These rules can vary by region and may change, so check the current transfer article if eligibility is the question. Transfers are final once sent and cannot be reversed. Roblox also warns that no one should ask you to send Robux to verify an account. Treat any such request as a scam.

Security Delayed Actions
Roblox may impose a mandatory waiting period on sensitive actions, especially those started from an unfamiliar or high-risk session. The delay can affect asset movement, including Robux. Roblox may notify the email address on the account and your active devices. If you started the action, wait for the timer to expire and then return to complete it. If you did not, select the “No, it’s not me” response. That logs out the suspicious session. Then change your password and review your 2-Step Verification settings.
This security wait is separate from escrow. Changing devices, using a security key, or contacting an unofficial third party will not release sale proceeds. Roblox says trusted passkeys or hardware keys and trusted devices can bypass some delays, but very large group payouts may not allow a bypass.

Purchases delayed by a Roblox outage
Purchases made with Robux, including virtual items bought on the website or inside an experience, can be delayed while Roblox is experiencing an issue or performing maintenance. Check the Roblox status page first. If an outage is reported, wait for the purchase to be applied rather than repeating it, since repeated purchases can create duplicate charges to review. This timing applies only to service disruptions. It is not a general schedule for creator earnings.
Card holds that look like pending Robux
A pending charge on your card is not the same as Pending Robux. Roblox says a declined card charge can be held temporarily by the financial institution while the payment resolves, and a small temporary verification fee may appear. Those funds are returned to the card within the window shown in the table. If the hold lasts longer, contact your card issuer. For questions about the Roblox payment itself, contact Roblox Support.

When to contact Roblox Support
Contact Roblox Support when the transaction type is unclear, the Robux have not appeared after the relevant wait, or a transfer or purchase looks wrong. Use Roblox’s official help and support channels only. Roblox Customer Support asks for the following information:
- Your Roblox username
- The device involved
- The help category that fits the problem
- A clear description of what happened and what you expected
For billing questions, add the payment type, the dates and amounts involved, and the exact error message. Those details let support match the entry in My Transactions to the payment or transfer you are asking about.
