First identify the sign-in or recovery screen, then use the matching fix below.
Try these checks first
- Make sure you are using the official Roblox website or app.
- Confirm the exact verified email address or phone number attached to the account. Check a parent’s or guardian’s inbox too if it is a child’s account.
- Search your email for “Roblox,” then check spam, junk, promotions, social, trash and filtering rules.
- Check both SMS and WhatsApp if Roblox offers phone delivery.
- Wait briefly, select Resend Code once, or choose Start Over to restart the flow.
- Do not keep requesting codes repeatedly. Delayed messages can arrive out of order, and Roblox says you may need to wait before another one-time code works.
- Use an offered alternative such as your password, authenticator app, backup code, passkey, Quick Login or approval on another logged-in device.
If you did not request the code or login prompt, do not approve it or share it. Change your password and follow the account-safety steps below.

Identify which Roblox code is missing

Fix a missing email 2-Step Verification code
For an email 2SV challenge, Roblox sends the code to the account’s verified email address. Check every email account you control, including a parent or guardian’s address if it is used for recovery. Search the entire mailbox and inspect spam, junk, promotions, social and other filtered folders.

If another 2SV method is shown, use it. If no configured method works, Roblox Support is the legitimate escalation route.
Fix a missing email-verification message
Email verification is different from 2SV. In Roblox, it normally begins under Settings → Account Info → Add Email. The message goes to the address you are adding, not necessarily to an address used by another Roblox account.
Wait a few minutes, check spam or junk mail, search for Roblox, and add [email protected] to your contacts. Then repeat the verification process. An email that has merely been typed into a form is not necessarily verified, so do not assume it can be used for password recovery or one-time login. Fix a missing phone code
Confirm that the phone number is actually attached to the intended Roblox account and that the country code is correct. Phone verification is available only in select countries. Depending on availability, Roblox may send the message by SMS or WhatsApp, so check both.
Also check whether your carrier or phone has blocked automated messages or short codes. Avoid repeatedly requesting another code while delivery is delayed. For password recovery, select the Phone tab, choose the country code, enter the phone number, select Verify, and enter the six-digit code Roblox sends. Fix a password-reset code or email
On the Roblox login page, select Forgot Password or Username? Enter the email address exactly as it is stored on the account. Formatting differences can matter; for example, an address with a period may not match the address Roblox has saved.
For email recovery, check spam or junk if the message does not arrive within a few minutes. If the account uses a phone number instead, select the Phone tab, choose the country code, enter the number, select Verify, and enter the six-digit code.
If no email address or phone number was attached to the account, Roblox says this automated recovery method cannot reset the password. You must contact Roblox Support and provide information that helps verify ownership.
Fix an email one-time login code
Email Me a One-Time Code is available only to some Roblox users. The account must have a verified email address, and the login page must offer the feature. Enter the same email address associated with the account. If that email is verified on multiple Roblox accounts, Roblox may ask you to choose one.
Check spam, select Resend once, and verify the address carefully. Roblox may require the code to be entered on the same device where it was requested. If delivery continues to fail, try logging in with the password and wait before requesting more one-time codes.

Do not give a one-time code to anyone who contacts you. Roblox warns that people claiming to be Support may use these codes to take over accounts. See the official one-time-code guide.
When Roblox is asking for an authenticator code
An authenticator code is generated inside the authenticator app originally linked to your Roblox account. Roblox does not send this code by email or SMS. Open that app and enter the currently displayed code; do not reuse an older one.
If the code is rejected, wait for a new code and ensure your device’s date and time are set automatically. Time-based codes depend on clock synchronization. Reinstalling an authenticator app does not automatically restore Roblox’s registered secret. If the old device or authenticator account is unavailable, use a backup code, passkey, another configured method or Support.
Second-device approval and Quick Login
Roblox may ask you to approve a login on a device already signed in to the account instead of sending a conventional six-digit code. Review the device type, approximate region, IP address, date and time before approving. If the request is unfamiliar, deny it, change your password and review your security settings. If the prompt expires, start the login again.
Quick Login lets a new device be authorized from one that is already logged in. Depending on the screen, it uses a QR code or six-character code. Follow the prompts on both devices. Roblox says Quick Login is not available on Xbox and may not be available to every player. Read Roblox’s Quick Login help page.

Passkeys, security keys and Enhanced Protection
Not every Roblox account uses email or authenticator codes for every 2SV challenge. Roblox’s Enhanced Protection can use phishing-resistant passkeys or hardware security keys and may disable traditional email OTP and authenticator methods while enabled. Availability depends on the account, device, browser, operating system and Roblox rollout.
If the screen asks for a passkey or security key, use that method rather than waiting for an email. If you cannot use it, look for another recovery option, such as Quick Login or a multi-step recovery process. Roblox recommends Quick Login for devices such as Xbox that may not support passkeys directly. See the Enhanced Protection documentation.

- Use the code for the same Roblox account and, for one-time login, the same device that requested it.
- Request a fresh code if the old one is more than 15 minutes old or you entered it incorrectly.
- If several messages arrived, use the newest code and stop requesting more for a while.
- For authenticator codes, enter the current code and synchronize the device clock.
- Check whether Roblox has switched the challenge to a passkey, security key or second-device approval.
- Never ask another person to test the code or send it to you.
If you lost access to your recovery method
While you are still logged in on another device, add more recovery options before signing out. Depending on what your account supports, use second-device approval or Quick Login, create backup codes, add a passkey or configure another 2SV method.
Roblox backup codes are one-time use. Creating a new set deactivates older backup codes, so store the current set securely and never share it. If you no longer have the email, phone or authenticator and have no backup method, contact Roblox Support. Support may require proof of account ownership and cannot be guaranteed to restore access.
Protect the account
Deny any unfamiliar approval request. Change your Roblox password, do not reuse it elsewhere, and review account security and recovery methods. Never share your password, cookies, 2SV codes or backup codes. Roblox says its employees will not ask for them. Avoid code generators, paid recovery services, social-media “support” accounts and unofficial login links.

When Roblox Support is the only next step
Use the official Roblox contact form when:
- There is no attached or verified email or phone number.
- You lost access to the registered email, phone or authenticator.
- You have no backup code, passkey, Quick Login or second-device option.
- Codes never arrive after checking the correct contact, filters and available delivery channels.
- You believe the account was hacked or a security method was changed without permission.
Describe the exact screen and code type, the username, the recovery method you tried and when the problem began. Do not include your password, cookies, codes or backup codes in the request.
If login problems affect many players, check Roblox’s official status information before assuming the issue is specific to your account. Roblox links to its status page from its contact guidance.
