Ubisoft Connect login failures usually come from a Ubisoft service issue, an outdated or offline PC app, a local network or security-software block, an account email problem, or a temporary account lock. Check Ubisoft Help for a service notice first, then follow the fix for your platform and the exact error you see.
Start by checking whether Ubisoft’s services are available
If Ubisoft Connect suddenly stops accepting logins, check Ubisoft Help for a service degradation or maintenance notice before changing settings. Ubisoft says the PC message “A Ubisoft service is not available at the moment” means Ubisoft Connect PC cannot connect to Ubisoft Services. A service interruption can prevent login even when your device and internet connection are working normally.
Service status changes over time, so a past outage does not establish that Ubisoft is down now. If no current issue is listed, continue with the checks below.
Fix the problem that matches your error
“Service is unavailable” or “A Ubisoft Server is unavailable” on PC
Ubisoft says these messages can appear when Ubisoft Connect PC is out of date, including after installing an older Ubisoft game from disc. Fully close the app, including its system-tray process, install the latest Ubisoft Connect PC version, and try logging in again. Updating is especially relevant when the error began after installing an older game.

The app opens in Offline mode or cannot connect
Confirm that your internet connection works, then check whether Ubisoft Connect PC has started in Offline mode. Ubisoft notes that the app may launch offline when there is no internet connection, which can limit features and affect login.
For connection problems, Ubisoft recommends checking service status, restarting the router by power-cycling it, updating Windows, and testing with a wired connection where possible. A wired connection is a way to diagnose local Wi-Fi instability; it cannot fix an Ubisoft outage, an account lock, or an email-access problem. School, workplace, ISP, or network-administrator restrictions may also interfere with access.

A firewall or antivirus may be blocking the app
Check whether your firewall or antivirus software is blocking Ubisoft Connect PC. Ubisoft’s connectivity guidance also recommends checking for conflicts with background applications. Change security settings cautiously: make only the adjustment needed to test the connection, and restore protection rather than leaving security software disabled.
Check account access before trying more passwords
Make sure you can receive Ubisoft email
Confirm that you can access the email address linked to your Ubisoft account. Check spam, junk, and promotional folders for Ubisoft messages; Ubisoft’s email guidance lists official sender addresses that can be added to your safe-sender list. If a platform account is linked, Ubisoft says you may be able to sign in to Account Management through that platform account. If you still cannot access the account, use Ubisoft’s current account-recovery flow rather than relying on guessed recovery steps.

Stop if you may have triggered a temporary lock
Ubisoft says a temporary lock blocks access to online games and services as well as Ubisoft login pages. It may follow detected fraudulent activity or too many failed login attempts. Ubisoft says it cannot remove this temporary lock and that it will email you when the restriction is lifted. Avoid repeated login guesses if you suspect a lock. Once access is restored, Ubisoft recommends changing your password and enabling 2-Step verification.

PlayStation
Ubisoft’s PlayStation login guidance includes checking services and the connection, rebuilding the console database, and unlinking and re-linking the PlayStation and Ubisoft accounts. These are platform-specific steps; do not apply them to PC or assume that they are appropriate for Xbox. Back up important data before using Safe Mode, since some options can cause data loss. Follow the instructions in Ubisoft Help for your PlayStation model and error.

PC: reinstall Ubisoft Connect only after simpler checks
If checking service status, updating the app, and troubleshooting the connection have not helped, Ubisoft provides a PC reinstall procedure. Back up save files first, close the launcher, and read the uninstall prompts carefully: you may be asked whether to keep installed games and local saves.
- Close Ubisoft Connect PC completely.
- Back up your local save files.
- Uninstall Ubisoft Connect PC, choosing carefully whether to keep installed games and local save files.
- In the installation location, delete the Cache folder. The default location is
C:Program Files (x86)UbisoftUbisoft Game Launcher. - Install the latest Ubisoft Connect PC version and restart the computer.
Do not delete saves or installed games unless you have confirmed what the installer will remove and have a usable backup.
