Ubisoft associates his death with a heart attack; its sources do not identify a murderer or establish further medical detail.
Who is Ezio, and what happened to him?
Ezio Auditore is the Assassin’s Creed protagonist featured in Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood, and Revelations. Ubisoft describes Revelations as his final adventure and groups those three games as Ezio’s story in The Ezio Collection.
The wording “Why was Ezio killed?” can suggest an assassination, but Ubisoft’s community article instead connects Ezio to a heart attack. It does not name a killer. That supports describing his death as a heart attack, not claiming that an enemy murdered him.
What do the official sources establish?
- Cause associated with his death: Ubisoft’s community article refers to support for the British Heart Foundation as “connected to Ezio’s heart attack.” This is an official association, not a clinical record or a detailed account of what happened.
- No identified assailant: The cited Ubisoft material does not say that a particular person killed Ezio.
- Limits of the evidence: These sources do not establish an exact medical sequence or a more specific cause than “heart attack.”
Fans may speculate about the young man shown with Ezio, but the official material cited here does not establish that he killed him. Treating that theory as canon goes beyond what these sources support.
