AION 2 is promoted as a game with broad free flight, but official public information reviewed as of October 4, 2026 does not publish the exact unlock requirements or explain why a particular character cannot fly. That means there is no verified level, quest, key binding, stamina value, or universal fix to give. Check the in-game help and current regional support rather than relying on an unconfirmed requirement.
What official sources say about flying
In a June 4, 2025 announcement, NCSOFT described AION 2 as having “a seamless flying system that allows flight across all regions.” The current Google Play listing likewise describes “AION 2 fields where you can fly freely anywhere.” These statements promote flight as a core feature, but neither explains its mechanics or guarantees that every activity, instance, or moment permits flight.
The official global site lists October 5, 2026 as the service launch date. As of October 4, 2026, launch-day behavior had not yet been verified in the public information reviewed here.
Why you might not be able to fly
Official public material does not establish which requirement or restriction applies when flight is unavailable. It does not specify a character level, prerequisite quest, tutorial, control sequence, resource limit, or location-specific rule. Without an in-game message or an official guide for the relevant service, naming one as the cause would be guesswork.

Two features that sound flight-related are not documented as flight unlocks:
- Rideable mounts: The official global site says pets can transform into rideable mounts and may provide benefits such as auto-looting. It does not say they enable flight.
- “Taking Flight” package: NCSOFT’s July 6, 2026 update describes this progression package as helping returning players quickly reach around 300K combat power. It does not say that buying or activating it unlocks flying.

- Open the in-game tutorial or help and look for the current instructions for flight and its controls.
- Confirm that the client is up to date, then retry in the same location and activity so the result is clear.
- Note whether the flight control is missing, fails to activate, or activates and then stops. Record any on-screen message.
- If the issue remains, contact support for your game region or service and provide your platform, client version, character level and progression, exact location and activity, and what happens when you try to fly. These details can help support assess the case; the public sources reviewed do not confirm that any one of them determines flight access.
What the listed 6 GB RAM requirement means
The AION 2 Google Play listing displays a minimum RAM specification of 6 GB and an update date of September 24, 2026. That is a general platform requirement, not a published flight requirement or a confirmed explanation for a failed flight attempt.
