Wild Zone 7 is Magenta Plaza, in northwest Lumiose City near the Saison Canal and Magenta District. It contains seven listed regular Pokémon, plus a level-33 Alpha Fletchinder perched on the plaza’s central statue. The zone becomes accessible after Main Mission 9, around the start of Main Mission 10; the sources differ slightly on the exact trigger.
Where to find Wild Zone 7 and when it unlocks
Head to Magenta Plaza in the northwest of Lumiose City, following the Saison Canal toward the Magenta District. Wild Zone 7 becomes available after Main Mission 9, “Chase That Mysterious Pokémon!”, around the beginning of Main Mission 10. Nintendo Life places access after Main Mission 10 begins, following Rank F in the Z-A Royale and a fight with Vinnie; PowerPyx groups Zones 7–10 under the Main Mission 9 unlock. Treat that stretch of progression as the practical guide rather than relying on one exact trigger. The zone’s recommended level is 18, according to Nintendo Life’s Wild Zone 7 guide.
All regular Pokémon in Wild Zone 7
The seven species listed for Magenta Plaza are confirmed by both Nintendo Life and PowerPyx’s Wild Zone roster. Their locations and time conditions are:
| Pokémon | Type | Where and when to look |
|---|---|---|
| Vanillite | Ice | On the walkways. |
| Hippopotas | Ground | In the dirt during daytime only. |
| Roselia | Grass/Poison | Sometimes in the grass. |
| Kakuna | Bug/Poison | In trees on the east side of the plaza. |
| Floette | Fairy | Occasionally in the grass. |
| Audino | Normal | Wandering around the plaza. |
| Shuppet | Ghost | Floating around at night only. |
The references do not give spawn rates, so “sometimes” and “occasionally” are the available guidance for Roselia and Floette—not a guarantee of how quickly either will appear. Wild Zones can be visited during the day or at night, which matters particularly for Hippopotas and Shuppet.

Alpha Fletchinder location and how to approach it
One Alpha Fletchinder, level 33, is listed for Wild Zone 7. Look on the statue at the center of the plaza. Nintendo Life lists the location and level, and PowerPyx also includes the Alpha in its zone roster.
According to The Pokémon Company’s official gameplay guidance, Alpha Pokémon are larger than their ordinary counterparts, have glowing red eyes, and are especially powerful and difficult to catch. They may chase and attack after noticing you, so avoid treating the statue encounter like a routine low-level capture.

- Your journey will take you to all manner of sights in the streets arrayed around Prism Tower, including shops, restaurants, and places called wild zones—where Pokémon roam free.
- As you catch, train, and battle Pokémon, there will be plenty of people to meet too—like AZ, the enigmatic owner of Hotel Z.
How to improve your chances of catching Pokémon
Official guidance notes that some Pokémon flee as soon as they spot you: “Some Pokémon will flee immediately if they spot you, so hide out of sight or approach from behind to make yourself harder to notice.” If a Pokémon is difficult to catch, battling it to lower its HP can help. Use cover or approach from behind when you want to avoid startling a target, and be especially cautious around the Alpha.
Which Pokémon should you prioritize?
Nintendo Life highlights Vanillite as an Ice-type addition and Shuppet as a Ghost-type Pokémon with a Mega Evolution. These are that guide’s suggestions, not a universal ranking. Vanillite is available on the walkways without a stated time restriction; Shuppet requires a nighttime visit. Choose based on the type coverage your team needs and when you can search the plaza.

Are there item pickups in Wild Zone 7?
The zone-specific walkthrough and all-zone roster reference do not establish a list of item pickups or their locations in Magenta Plaza. That does not prove the plaza has no items; it means an item-by-item inventory cannot be confirmed from those references. General advice to stock useful battle items does not identify any Wild Zone 7 pickup.
