Do the Mechari want to rule the Dominion?
Moore’s reported explanation frames the Mechari’s mandate as preservation: they are meant to safeguard and shepherd the Dominion and do what is needed for its success. The feature says they were not given a directive to seize control.

That distinction is about purpose, not necessarily the amount of authority they exercise. The Mechari’s service can involve influence or power, but Lefebvre’s account treats those as instruments of the Dominion’s preservation. It also describes their loyalty as directed toward the Dominion itself, rather than whichever individual happens to give an order. On that reading, wielding power and serving the empire are not mutually exclusive; the governing question is what the power is for.
Do Mechari identify as male or female?
The feature reports that Mechari see themselves as gendered beings, despite being artificial. Moore’s explanation, as paraphrased by Lefebvre, connects their gendered presentation in part to how they interact with organic beings: organics respond more readily to creatures they perceive as gendered, and the Mechari can use that response to observe or manipulate them.
The article does not establish broader biological or social consequences of Mechari gender. It supports the narrower point that they regard themselves as gendered and that this presentation has a practical role in their dealings with organics.

Are Mechari connected to a shared AI network?
No shared-thought or direct machine-to-machine channel is described. The feature places the Mechari within an intelligence network, but explicitly distinguishes that organizational network from direct communication: two Mechari must communicate by the same ordinary means as other beings.

In other words, being part of an intelligence service does not mean every Mechari automatically shares information or thoughts with the others. The feature does not describe telepathy or a special, always-on communication link.
How do Mechari reproduce?
The 2013 feature leaves this unanswered. Moore reportedly said the answer was still under wraps and hinted that it was interesting, but Lefebvre’s article gives no mechanism. It therefore does not establish whether Mechari reproduce, or how they might do so.

What the feature establishes—and what it leaves open

These are claims reported in Lefebvre’s 2013 feature from Moore’s interview, not a comprehensive account of every later WildStar lore source. The most useful way to read the Mechari here is through two tensions: they are artificial, yet socially situated beings; and they can wield power, yet their reported mission is to preserve the Dominion rather than rule it for themselves.
