Will Anderson Jr. was listed as a full participant in Houston’s Week 4 injury report after being limited earlier in the week with an ankle injury. That is a positive practice update, but it does not confirm he will play. The report lists no game-status designation for him, so his availability should be verified against the Texans’ next official update and the game-day inactive list.
What the latest reports say about Will Anderson Jr.
As of the official reports reviewed on October 4, 2026, the NFL’s Week 4 report lists Anderson as a defensive end and a full practice participant, without an injury or game-status entry in his row (NFL injury report). The Texans’ report identifies an ankle injury and records him as limited on Wednesday, then full on Thursday and Friday (Houston Texans injury report).
The Texans report shows a dash in the game-status field. Its legend defines that mark as “Not listed,” not as an announcement that the player will play. Neither report reviewed gives Anderson a questionable, doubtful, or out designation.
What “full participation” means
The Texans define full participation as “100% of a player’s normal reps” in the legend on their injury report (Houston Texans injury report). It describes how much of the player’s normal practice work he took part in. It is not the same as medical clearance, a guarantee of game availability, or a prediction of playing time.

How to read the injury report
Practice participation and game status answer different questions. NFL policy materials distinguish a Practice Report from a Game Status Report (NFL Football Operations policy manual). Read the fields separately:
- Participation: DNP means did not participate, LP means limited participation, and FP means full participation during that practice.
- Injury: The Texans report lists an ankle issue for Anderson; it does not give a diagnosis or explain the injury’s severity.
- Game status: The Texans report has no listed designation for him. That absence is not itself confirmation that he is active.
What to check before game day
Injury reports can change, and the reports reviewed are a snapshot rather than a lasting statement about Anderson’s medical condition. For a definitive availability update, check the Texans’ latest official injury report and then the team’s game-day inactive announcement. The reports reviewed do not establish whether Anderson will play or how many snaps he might take.
