Yes—Animal Crossing is already on mobile. Nintendo released Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete for smart devices on December 2, 2024. If you mean a different, new Animal Crossing mobile game, Nintendo has not announced one on the official pages reviewed here; whether another will arrive remains unknown.
Which Animal Crossing game is on mobile?
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is Nintendo’s current mobile entry. Nintendo describes it as a campsite-management game for smart devices: players decorate a campsite, meet animal friends, craft items, fish, catch bugs, and take part in seasonal events. Nintendo says the app includes more than 10,000 campsite decoration items, a product feature figure from its announcement rather than an independently measured statistic. Nintendo’s December 2, 2024 announcement also describes features including Complete Tickets, Camper Cards that can be shared by QR code, and Whistle Pass.

This is not Animal Crossing: New Horizons on a phone. Nintendo lists Pocket Camp Complete as the mobile game and presents New Horizons separately as a Nintendo Switch release on its official Animal Crossing series page. The series page also lists New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition; neither console release is identified there as a mobile app.

The original Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp smartphone service ended on November 28, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. PT, according to Nintendo Support’s service notice. Nintendo released the paid Pocket Camp Complete app on December 2, 2024, replacing the former service with a separately purchased app. Nintendo said the purchase included previously released content without additional in-game purchases.

Players could transfer save data from the original app, but Nintendo’s announced transfer deadline was June 1, 2025. That deadline has passed; it should not be treated as a transfer option currently available.

The official Nintendo pages cited here document Pocket Camp Complete and other existing Animal Crossing products; they do not announce a different future mobile game or disclose Nintendo’s product roadmap. So there is no confirmed new game to point to, but the available information does not establish that Nintendo will never make one.

Nintendo’s official mobile-app directory also lists Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete. For news about a separate title, look for an announcement from Nintendo rather than treating the existence of the current app—or the absence of a new announcement—as a promise either way.

What to know before choosing the mobile game
- It is a paid app. Nintendo described a flat-fee purchase with no additional in-game purchases. Its announcement’s introductory-price window ended January 30, 2025, so that past offer is not a current price. Check your regional app store for the price and availability where you live.
- Check device compatibility. Nintendo requires a compatible smart device; the cited announcement does not establish support for every phone model. Confirm your device against the current store listing and Nintendo’s requirements before buying.
- Some features need internet access. Nintendo says an internet connection is needed for some functionality, and data charges may apply.
- It is a campsite game, not the Switch island game. Choose it for Pocket Camp’s decorating and campsite activities. If you specifically want New Horizons, Nintendo identifies that as a Nintendo Switch game, not a phone version.
