Lucy—whose full name is Lucyna Kushinada—is a major character in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, but that connection to the game’s world does not confirm an in-game cameo.
What is confirmed about Lucy and Cyberpunk 2077?
CD PROJEKT RED describes Lucy as an enigmatic netrunner and identifies her as one of the main characters in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, an anime set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. The official series page calls the original anime a standalone 10-episode story. CD PROJEKT RED’s Edgerunners page lists Lucy among its characters.

That establishes Lucy’s place in the franchise, not an appearance inside the video game. The official sources reviewed do not confirm a Cyberpunk 2077 game cameo. Because they do not provide a complete inventory of the game’s appearances, that lack of confirmation is not proof that she never appears.

No. CD PROJEKT RED and TRIGGER describe Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 as a standalone anime with a brand-new cast. Its official site lists new characters and an October 20, 2026 premiere date; the announcements reviewed do not identify Lucy as part of that cast. An anime announcement also does not establish a character’s presence in the game.

Showrunner, story writer, and producer Bartosz Sztybor said: “David’s story might be over, but there’s plenty more to discover in Night City.” That points to more stories in the setting, but it is not a promise that Lucy will appear in either the new anime or Cyberpunk 2077. The official announcement provides details about the standalone series.
