They do not confirm that hacking automatically triggers an IP ban. That distinction matters: account enforcement is documented, but Roblox’s public materials do not establish whether or when it uses IP-based measures behind the scenes.
What Roblox says can happen if you hack
Roblox Support says exploiting and cheating violate its Terms of Use and “will lead to the deletion of an account.” It also warns that exploit downloads may contain malware, including keyloggers or phishing programs. See Roblox Support’s “Cheating and Exploiting” guidance.

Using a modified Roblox app or other software that changes how Roblox works can also lead to a temporary account suspension. Roblox says repeated use may result in a permanent account ban, and advises players to use the official, unmodified app. Its “Anti-cheat Messages” guidance says: “To avoid any problems, make sure you’re using the official, unmodified version of Roblox.”

Does Roblox’s policy say it IP-bans hackers?
The public materials cited here do not say that Roblox automatically bans a player’s IP address for hacking. Roblox’s Terms of Use describe possible measures such as warnings, removing or restricting access to content or services, and suspending or terminating an account. The cited section does not specify an automatic IP ban for hacking; see Roblox’s UK-version Terms of Use, section 4.2.

- Each gift card grants a free virtual item upon redemption.
This is a limit on what the published rules establish, not proof that Roblox never uses IP-based or other technical enforcement internally. The reliable takeaway is that account and service restrictions are documented; a specific IP-ban rule is not.
How enforcement can vary
Roblox says moderation consequences depend on the severity and impact of a violation, and that account history and repeated violations are taken into consideration. Its content moderation guidance also explains that users who believe a moderation decision was wrong can contact Roblox to request a review. The policy does not promise a particular outcome for every hacking or exploit case.

Error code 600 is a different kind of ban
Error code 600 means the creator of a particular experience has banned the account from that experience. It is not, by itself, evidence of an IP ban or a Roblox-wide platform ban: Roblox says the affected user can still use other experiences and platform features. Roblox Support cannot remove this creator-issued restriction; contact the experience creator instead. Details are in Roblox Support’s “Error Code 600: Banned from an Experience” page.
| Restriction | Who issues it | Scope | Where to ask about it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Platform moderation action | Roblox | May affect an account or access to Roblox content or services, depending on the action | Request a review through Roblox Support if you believe the decision was mistaken |
| Experience ban, including error code 600 | The experience creator | That experience; other experiences and platform features remain accessible, according to Roblox | Contact the experience creator; Roblox Support cannot remove the creator-issued ban |
What to do if you receive a Roblox moderation action
- Read the notice. Check what Roblox says the action is and which account or access it affects.
- Request a review if you believe it is wrong. Use Roblox Support’s moderation review process described in its content moderation guidance.
- If the notice is error code 600, contact the experience creator. The creator manages that experience-only ban; Roblox Support cannot remove it.
Why exploit downloads are risky
Roblox warns that exploit tools may carry malware, including keyloggers and phishing programs. A tool advertised as a way to cheat could therefore put account credentials at risk as well as violate Roblox’s rules. Avoid exploit downloads and modified clients; use Roblox’s official, unmodified app.
