Windows 11のXboxゲーム バーは、目的に応じて無効化する場所が異なります。 Xboxコントローラーのボタンで開くのを止めるだけならゲーム バーの設定、バックグラウンド録画を止めるなら[キャプチャ]、通知だけを消すならWindowsの通知設定を変更します。アプリ自体を削除したい場合は、最後にアンインストールを試してください。
Windows 11 24H2/25H2でも、更新状態や表示言語によって項目名や場所が異なる場合があります。設定アプリの検索欄で「Xbox」または「Game Bar」と検索すると見つけやすくなります。

Xboxゲーム バーで止められるものは別々に分かれている
Xboxゲーム バーは、Win+Gで表示できるWindows標準のゲーム用オーバーレイです。ゲームやアプリの録画、スクリーンショット、マイクや音声の操作、パフォーマンス表示などに使えます。XboxコントローラーのXboxボタンから起動することもできます。

Xboxコントローラーのボタンで開くのを止める
- スタートメニューから[設定]を開きます。
- [ゲーム]を選びます。
- [Xbox Game Bar]を開きます。
- 「コントローラーのこのボタンを使ってXbox Game Barを開く」「コントローラーのXboxボタンでXbox Game Barを開く」などの項目をオフにします。
表示名はWindowsのバージョンや言語で異なることがあります。項目が見つからない場合は、設定画面上部の検索欄で「Xbox」と検索してください。この操作で止まるのは、主にコントローラーのXboxボタンからの起動です。Win+G、録画ショートカット、通知、アプリ本体まで一括で無効になるとは限りません。
Steamなど別のオーバーレイを使う場合も、まずWindows側のこの設定だけを変更して動作を確認すると、どの機能が起動しているのか切り分けやすくなります。
バックグラウンド録画を無効にする
録画機能を使わない、ゲーム中の録画通知や処理を止めたいという場合は、ゲーム バーの起動設定とは別にキャプチャ設定を確認します。
- [設定]→[ゲーム]→[キャプチャ]を開きます。
- 「何が起きたかを記録する」「バックグラウンド録画」などに相当する設定を探します。
- バックグラウンド録画をオフにします。
項目名はWindowsの更新状態によって異なる場合があります。「録画」「バックグラウンド」「キャプチャ」を手がかりに確認してください。バックグラウンド録画をオフにしても、手動録画やスクリーンショットのショートカットが別に残る場合があります。

なお、ゲーム バーを無効にしたいだけなら、Game Mode(ゲーム モード)までオフにする必要はありません。Game Bar、Captures、Game Modeは別の設定です。
通知だけを止める
ゲーム バー自体や録画機能は残したまま、ポップアップだけを消したい場合は通知を個別にオフにします。
- [設定]を開きます。
- [システム]→[通知]を選びます。
- アプリ一覧からXbox Game Barを探します。
- 通知をオフにします。
これはWindowsの通知を止める操作であり、Win+Gによる起動、コントローラー起動、録画機能を無効にするものではありません。

動作不良なら修復、次にリセット
設定を変えてもゲーム バーが繰り返し表示される、画面が壊れている、設定が正常に反映されないといった場合は、削除前にアプリの修復を試します。

- [設定]→[アプリ]→[インストールされているアプリ]を開きます。
- 検索欄でXbox Game Barを探します。
- 右側の…→[詳細オプション]を選びます。
- まず[修復]を実行します。
- 改善しなければ[リセット]を実行します。
一般に、修復はアプリデータを保持したまま問題を直すための操作です。リセットではアプリデータが削除される可能性があります。また、すべてのアプリが修復やリセットに対応しているとは限りません。Microsoftのアプリの修復・リセットに関する案内も確認してください。
Xboxゲーム バーをアンインストールする
まず設定から削除を試す
- [設定]→[アプリ]→[インストールされているアプリ]を開きます。
- Xbox Game Barの右側にある…を選びます。
- [アンインストール]が表示される場合は実行します。
Windowsの内蔵アプリには、設定からアンインストールできないものがあります。アンインストール項目が表示されない、または実行できない場合は、無理に削除せず、設定変更やアプリの修復・リセットを選ぶのが安全です。Microsoftのアプリのアンインストールに関する説明でも、一部のWindows内蔵アプリには制限があるとされています。
PowerShellを使う方法は上級者向け
設定から削除できない場合、Microsoft Q&AではPowerShellによる削除例が案内されています。ただし、これは一般ユーザー向けの標準的な製品マニュアルではなく、環境によって動作しないことがあります。会社や学校のPCでは管理ポリシーで制限されている場合もあります。
まず、対象パッケージが存在するか確認します。PowerShellを開き、次を実行してください。

Get-AppxPackage *XboxGamingOverlay*結果を確認したうえで、Xbox Game Barのパッケージを削除するコマンド例は次のとおりです。
Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay | Remove-AppxPackageパッケージ名は環境によって異なる可能性があります。Microsoft Q&Aの削除例を参照し、表示された対象がXbox Gaming Overlayであることを確認してから実行してください。別のAppxアプリを削除するコマンドに置き換えないでください。
削除前に確認すること
- 録画、スクリーンショット、ウィジェットが使えなくなります。
- Xboxボタンに割り当てられた動作が変わる可能性があります。
- ゲームやコントローラーソフトがゲーム バーを呼び出す設定になっていると、関連付けエラーが表示される可能性があります。
- 性能が必ず向上するとはいえません。録画処理を止めたい場合は、まずバックグラウンド録画をオフにしてください。
設定変更後も表示されるときの切り分け
- PCを再起動します。
- コントローラーをいったん取り外し、再接続します。
- Xboxボタン、Win+G、録画通知のどれが原因かを個別に確認します。
- [ゲーム]→[キャプチャ]と[システム]→[通知]をそれぞれ確認します。
- Windows UpdateとMicrosoft Storeアプリの更新状態を確認します。

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftGameBarUseNexusForGameBarEnabledなどの値は、MicrosoftのWindows 11設定リファレンスで確認できます。ただし、これらの値を変更すれば、あらゆる起動経路のXboxゲーム バーが完全に無効になるとMicrosoftが保証しているわけではありません。
変更する場合は、先に復元ポイントの作成またはレジストリのバックアップを行い、対象キーをエクスポートしてください。変更後はサインアウトまたは再起動します。レジストリの誤編集はWindowsの動作に影響するため、設定変更、キャプチャ設定、通知設定、アプリの修復・リセット、アンインストールより先に行わないでください。
Xbox modeとの違い
Windows 11 24H2以降の対応環境には、「Xbox mode」と呼ばれる別のゲーム向けフルスクリーン体験があります。これは従来のXboxゲーム バーそのものではありません。

削除後に再び使う方法
設定でオフにしただけなら、同じ設定を開いてトグルをオンに戻します。アンインストールした場合は、Microsoft StoreでXbox Game Barを検索して再インストールできる可能性があります。ただし、Store上の表示や提供状態は地域、アカウント、Windows環境によって異なります。
The Bottom Line
Xboxボタンだけを止めるなら設定のコントローラー項目、録画を止めるなら[キャプチャ]、通知を消すなら[通知]を変更します。アプリ削除やPowerShell、レジストリ変更は、必要な機能への影響を確認したうえで最後に検討してください。
