There is no verified official formula or current public stat table that makes one Wings of Heroes plane universally “best.” Choose by aircraft role, tier, rarity, and upgrade state, then check the plane’s current in-game details: the available sources do not establish exact numeric meanings or weights for speed, agility, and firepower.
What speed, agility, and firepower tell you
Speed, agility, and firepower are useful lenses for thinking about how an aircraft might suit your play style. But the available official material does not define these stats precisely or say how the game combines them. Without a verified current stat screen or official explanation, a specific number or claim such as “agility matters most” would be speculation.
Instead, compare planes using documented context: their role or class, tier, rarity, and upgrades. The App Store listing describes fighter and bomber aircraft and upgrades that affect performance and combat attributes, but does not publish a complete current plane-stat table.
How to choose a plane for your play style
Start with the aircraft’s role
Consider whether you want a fighter or a bomber, then look at the options available in your hangar. The store listing confirms those broad aircraft roles, but the sources do not provide enough detail to assign exact game-specific strengths or tactics to every plane. Treat role as a starting point, not a substitute for checking the aircraft’s in-game description and current stats.

Compare planes at similar progression levels
For a useful comparison, look at aircraft within the same tier and with similar rarity and upgrade state. This is practical guidance inferred from the documented influence of tier, rarity, and upgrades—not an official comparison rule. A plane’s performance can also reflect Hangar Workshop perks, module upgrades, and power-ups used in battle, according to the Ten Square Games Help Center.
Account for rarity
Rarity affects power within a tier. Ten Square Games says common aircraft are easier to unlock, while rarer planes are more differentiated within each tier in its July 7, 2026 progression announcement. So when two planes appear similar, check their rarity and investment before treating their stat values as a like-for-like comparison.

Why a stronger-looking plane may appear in a match
Matchmaking is primarily based on the highest-tier plane selected for battle. The Help Center says aircraft about one tier above or below that plane may appear, regardless of upgrade level; it also notes that the spread may be wider when player tiers vary more widely. Rarity, Workshop perks, module upgrades, and in-battle power-ups can also contribute to how strong an opponent’s aircraft feels.

That means a match is not necessarily a comparison between equally upgraded aircraft, even when the planes are in a similar tier range. It also helps explain why a single stat—or the plane’s tier alone—may not account for the difference you notice.

There is no authoritative current numeric table or universal stat-weighting formula established by the cited sources. Avoid treating an unsourced speed, agility, or firepower ranking as definitive; confirm values on the current in-game aircraft screens when making a specific choice.

For roster context, Pocket Gamer’s Best planes in Wings of Heroes guide was updated October 5, 2026 for version 2.3.2 and added the Yermolayev Yer-2 M-105, Mitsubishi G4M1, Hawker Sea Fury FB. 11, and Heinkel He 111 H-16. It is a third-party strategic guide, not an official source for exact stats or mechanics; roster and figures may change, so check the game for current details.
