Witchfire is playable through NVIDIA GeForce NOW, but it was not part of the August 2026 additions. NVIDIA added the game in its December 2025 rollout, specifically listing the Epic Games Store version. The December 25 weekly update included Witchfire alongside nine other games.
That distinction matters if you are searching for the game today: GeForce NOW provides the cloud hardware and streaming service, but you generally still need ownership or an active entitlement through the supported PC storefront.

When was Witchfire added to GeForce NOW?
NVIDIA announced Witchfire as part of its December 2025 GeForce NOW lineup on December 4, 2025. NVIDIA then listed it among the new games joining the service during the week of December 25, 2025, in its holiday weekly update.

Which version of Witchfire is supported?
NVIDIA identified Witchfire — Epic Games Store. Search for the game inside GeForce NOW and select the matching Epic Games Store listing. Do not assume that owning a copy from another storefront automatically grants access to this listing.
You also need access to the game through the relevant store account. A GeForce NOW membership is primarily a way to stream games from supported libraries; it does not generally include paid PC games at no additional cost. You may need to link or sign in to your Epic Games account when launching the game.

NVIDIA separately described Sid Meier’s Civilization VII and Jurassic World Evolution 3 as GeForce RTX 5080-ready. That is a performance designation, not a requirement that you own an RTX 5080, and those games should not be merged with the standard weekly additions list.
Other games in NVIDIA’s December rollout
NVIDIA’s broader December announcement covered 30 games across the month. Alongside the titles above, the lineup included MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II through Ubisoft, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III through Ubisoft, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy through Ubisoft, XOCIETY, Spyro Reignited Trilogy through Ubisoft, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0, ROUTINE, MIMESIS, Dome Keeper, Death Howl, Everdream Village, ARC Raiders, Dying Light: The Beast, Citizen Sleeper, For the King II, Hogwarts Legacy, LEGO Harry Potter Collection and Warhammer 40,000: SPACE MARINE 2.
The announcement also noted that selected Activision titles could be streamed through Ubisoft+ Premium and that automatic Battle.net sign-in was being added. A monthly announcement should not be read as meaning every listed title became playable on the same day.

Why the August 2026 lineup is a separate story
NVIDIA’s August 6, 2026 update said 26 games were coming during August. It did not list Witchfire.

The rest of the August lineup included Pax Autocratia, Car Wash Simulator, Clawed, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, Sandustry, The Sinking City 2 scheduled for August 18, Mortal Shell II and Gallipoli scheduled for August 20, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 scheduled for August 25, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy scheduled for August 27, Breathedge 2 scheduled for August 30, plus High on Life, High on Life 2, Paradise Killer, Misery, Pratfall and Starvester.
The categories matter: “available this week,” “coming later” and a performance label are not interchangeable. NVIDIA’s announcement date also may not be identical to the time a title becomes visible for every account, region or supported storefront.

How to play Witchfire through GeForce NOW
- Open the GeForce NOW app or web player.
- Search for Witchfire.
- Select the Epic Games Store edition.
- Sign in to or link the Epic Games account requested by the service.
- Confirm that the account owns the game or otherwise has access to it.
- Start the stream.
The expected result is a cloud session running the Epic Games Store version without requiring a local installation on the streaming device. NVIDIA supports GeForce NOW across supported laptops, Macs, handhelds, mobile devices, TVs and other screens, although device, region and account availability can vary.

Check NVIDIA’s localized checkout for current prices and plan availability rather than relying on an old dollar figure. In all cases, streaming access and game ownership are separate questions: you may need both an eligible GeForce NOW plan and the appropriate Epic Games Store entitlement.

Ready-to-Play versus Install-to-Play
A game’s catalog category can change after its original announcement. NVIDIA says some titles move from Ready-to-Play to Install-to-Play as the service changes how its catalog is managed. Games moved to Install-to-Play remain available to premium members, and users may optionally purchase persistent storage so installations remain between sessions.
That means a game’s absence from the immediately visible Ready-to-Play section does not necessarily mean it was removed. See NVIDIA’s explanation of Ready-to-Play and Install-to-Play changes for the current policy.
If Witchfire does not appear
- Search for the exact title instead of checking only the latest-additions page.
- Verify that you are selecting the Epic Games Store edition.
- Check that you are signed in to the correct NVIDIA and Epic accounts.
- Confirm that the title has not moved to Install-to-Play.
- Try the current native app and the browser version.
- Check NVIDIA’s service-status information before treating a missing result as a permanent delisting.
Catalog visibility can differ by storefront, region, licensing arrangement, account and rollout stage. A missing result alone does not prove that Witchfire has been permanently removed.

It can be a practical option if you already own the Epic Games Store edition and want to play on a Mac, low-powered laptop, supported handheld or TV without downloading the game locally. It is less suitable if your connection has high latency, unreliable bandwidth or strict data limits, or if you need offline play.
Players who want the lowest streaming latency and offline access may prefer running the Epic Games Store version on a compatible local PC or handheld. A Day Pass can be a useful way to test whether your connection and device deliver an acceptable experience before choosing a longer membership.
