For most new Wuthering Waves players, use the beginner Convene offers, see which Resonators you get, and save Radiant Tides and unspent Astrite for a featured character you genuinely want. Rerolling means repeating account setup and early play for another shot at a random result; it is not a dependable shortcut to a chosen limited character. The banner mechanics below reflect the version 3.6 guide updated in September 2026. The live lineup on October 8, 2026, is not verified here, so check the in-game Convene screen before spending.
Is rerolling worth it in Wuthering Waves?
Usually, not if your goal is a particular limited Resonator. A new account’s early pulls do not guarantee that character, and getting a featured character from a fresh limited-banner counter can take as many as 160 pulls under the version 3.6 rules described by WuWa Field Guide’s Convene guide. That is a much bigger commitment than a few tutorial pulls.
Rerolling may appeal if you enjoy restarting and are content with a random standard 5-star result. But the available reroll instructions are dated February 11, 2024, and estimate 25–35 minutes to reach Convene; that is an old estimate, not a current measured time. The guide also says there is no guest login and describes creating a new account for each attempt. Which banner should you pull on first?
Compare the target, accepted currency, and guarantee before spending. These offers and rules are described in a version 3.6 guide; beginner offers can depend on account eligibility, so confirm the exact terms displayed in your Convene menu.

How to decide what to pull
Use the beginner offers to establish a roster
The Novice Convene gives a guaranteed non-promotional 5-star within its stated limit, but the result is random. Beginner’s Choice provides a more controlled decision: select an eligible standard Resonator and work toward the guarantee shown for that offer. These are account-starting options, not guarantees of a limited character.
Save limited currency for a featured Resonator
Radiant Tides are used for event character Convene, while Lustrous Tides are associated with novice and permanent banners, according to the WuWa Field Guide gacha guide. The guide lists an ordinary pull as costing 160 Astrite. Treat Astrite as flexible until you have a specific featured character in mind rather than converting it casually into standard-banner pulls.
The 50/50 means the first 5-star on the featured Resonator banner is not necessarily the featured character. If that 5-star is not featured, the next 5-star is guaranteed to be featured. The 80-pull rarity guarantee and that featured-result rule are why a small stash from the tutorial cannot reliably secure a chosen limited character.
Put weapons after character priorities
The featured weapon banner has a separate counter and its own guarantee, rather than sharing the character-banner counter. That can make weapon pulls a reasonable later choice, but it does not answer whether the weapon is more useful for your account than another character. First decide which Resonators and teams you want; then assess the weapon against the equipment you already have and the pulls you can spare.
What to check before spending
- Open the in-game Convene screen and read the banner name, featured character or weapon, end time, eligible beginner offers, and currency requirements.
- Check whether the offer is available to your account and whether it ends when a 5-star appears early; the version 3.6 Novice Convene description says it does.
- Keep Lustrous Tides for novice or permanent banners and reserve Radiant Tides and uncommitted Astrite for a limited character you value.
- Look at the pity or guarantee information shown for the specific banner. Character and weapon counters are separate.
- Do not assume a featured lineup or end date from an older guide. The official news pages checked did not provide readable announcement text for the lineup current on October 8, 2026; the live in-game screen is the appropriate check.
Bottom line for a new account
Use the beginner guarantees, accept the standard roster they produce, and save limited pulls for a featured Resonator you actually want. Reroll only if you are comfortable repeating account setup for a random outcome; it is a time-consuming gamble, not a reliable way to obtain a chosen limited character. Consider a featured weapon later, once your character priorities and current equipment are clear.
