Wuthering Waves Version 3.0, “We Who See the Stars,” launched on 25 December 2025 (UTC+8). It began Chapter III in the new region of Lahai-Roi, previewed two 5-star Resonators—Lynae and Mornye—and added new activities and interface features. Official announcements and patch notes establish what the update included, but do not support claims about how it played or performed.
When did Wuthering Waves 3.0 come out?
Kuro Games dated the Version 3.0 patch notes 25 December 2025, matching the launch date announced for “We Who See the Stars.” The preview broadcast was scheduled for 12 December 2025 at 19:00 (UTC+8). Official Version 3.0 patch notes and the official preview broadcast listing document the announcement and update.
The maintenance notice listed a 25 December window from 04:00 to 11:00 (UTC+8), subject to extension, along with eligibility conditions for in-game compensation. Those times are historical, not a current service schedule. The notice also included PC and mobile pre-download instructions and recommended a stable network connection. What story content did Version 3.0 add?
Version 3.0 opened Chapter III, set in Lahai-Roi. Its story was divided into a prologue, “When the Unknown Thrums,” Act I, “What Burns Beneath Frostlands,” and Act II, “Ode to the Second Sunrise.” The prologue and Act I arrived with the update; Act II was scheduled for 15 January 2026 at 10:00 server time. The patch notes recommended completing Chapter II Segue, “Flowing Starlight in the Iris,” first for the intended story experience.
An announced Main Quest Fast Track Event let eligible players access the Chapter III prologue early. Its progress was saved separately from Chapters I and II. For full eligibility and quest details, consult the official patch notes.

What is Lahai-Roi?
Lahai-Roi is the new region highlighted for Version 3.0. The update’s story context includes Startorch Academy, while the patch notes also connect the region to permanent exploration and restoration activities. The official geographic preview, published 12 December 2025, introduced the location; it does not provide a basis for firsthand claims about its atmosphere or traversal.
Operation: Frontier Renewal
This permanent event has players use materials gathered in Lahai-Roi to help restore the Route Network and the Spacetrek Observatory, which the notes say were damaged by a Void Storm.

The leisure event centers on riding a motorbike. The announced run was 15 January to 4 February 2026 (server time), so its dates have passed.
Doubled Pawns Matrix: Pilot
The notes describe this as a new recurring, high-difficulty challenge. They do not establish a hands-on assessment of its difficulty, controls, or enjoyment.

Which new characters did Version 3.0 preview?
The maintenance notice previewed two 5-star Resonators and their associated Featured Resonator Convene banners. These are Version 3.0 launch-era details, not a statement that either banner is currently available.

What systems and interface features changed?
- Resonance Mode Switch: added for certain Resonators.
- WavesLine: character and organization messaging that can also deliver some tasks and quests.
- Region Guide: a way to find region-specific gameplay features and their unlock conditions.
- Utility: Projector: updated to let players project unlocked Echoes from the Gallery, rather than limiting projection to the current Resonator’s equipped Main Echo.
