On February 15, 2024, Xbox chief Phil Spencer confirmed that four Xbox games would come to other consoles. Xbox named them six days later: Pentiment, Hi-Fi RUSH, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves. The platforms and release dates below are the plans Xbox announced in 2024, not confirmation of current store availability.
Which four Xbox games were announced for other consoles?
Spencer did not identify the games during the February 15 business update. Xbox’s February 21 announcement named the titles and their planned destinations:

The announced destinations were not the same for all four games: the two Obsidian titles were headed to PlayStation and Switch, while Hi-Fi RUSH and Sea of Thieves were announced for PS5.
What did Xbox say about cross-play?
Xbox said Grounded would support cross-play across Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC. For Sea of Thieves, it announced cross-play across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. The February announcement did not make an equivalent cross-play statement for Pentiment or Hi-Fi RUSH.

Why did Xbox choose these games?
Spencer described the four as games that had been available on Xbox and PC for more than a year. He characterized two as community-driven games that could benefit from additional players, and the other two as smaller creative projects that were not originally intended as platform exclusives. Xbox presented reaching new players as a way to grow the games and create business value that could help support future installments or other projects.
Xbox also cited the scale of two existing communities. In its February 21, 2024 announcement, the company said Grounded had welcomed 20 million players and that Sea of Thieves had a community of more than 35 million players. Those are company-reported figures from 2024, not independently verified counts in the cited announcement.

- Pre-orders for Resident Evil Requiem are now open, with the bonus of Grace’s costume: Apocalypse. Please note that the picture weapon does not come with the costume, but it can be obtained in-game.
Did this mean every Xbox exclusive would come to other consoles?
No. Xbox said the four-game decision was not a fundamental change to its exclusivity approach. Spencer cautioned against treating the announcement as a signal that every Xbox game would move to other platforms, saying: “So four games, no promise beyond that.” The announcement documents the decision for these four titles; it does not establish a blanket policy for later releases.

Were Starfield or Indiana Jones among the four?
No. Spencer explicitly said, “They are not Starfield or Indiana Jones.” That answer was part of the February 2024 update and applies to the four games discussed there.
