The page advertises up to 40 hours of battery life with AA batteries. Microsoft says battery life varies with headset use, additional accessories, usage, and other factors, and that its figure came from testing standard AA batteries in preproduction units. Treat it as a qualified product claim, not a guaranteed runtime. The Xbox Accessories app supports button mapping for this controller. Check the seller listing for the exact included battery or accessory details.

Adaptive option: Xbox Adaptive Controller
Microsoft describes the Xbox Adaptive Controller as “a unified hub for devices that helps make gaming more accessible,” designed primarily for gamers with limited mobility. Microsoft lists it as compatible with Xbox One.
Rather than functioning only as a conventional gamepad, it can be part of a customized setup using separate switches, buttons, mounts, and joysticks. The product page specifies nineteen 3.5 mm ports and two USB 2.0 ports. The Xbox Accessories app can remap buttons and create profiles on Xbox One.
