The show mixed Xbox studio releases with partner announcements, and several reveals had a Japan setting or Japan-inspired content. Most of the dates attached to those announcements have now passed, so this guide separates what was revealed from what can still be confirmed today.
How to read the dates
- Every date below is the one Xbox Wire gave in September 2025. None are current confirmations.
- Release windows marked 2026 (Forza Horizon 6, Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake, Sudden Strike 5, and Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection) were announced as future windows. This article does not establish whether any of them have shipped.
- The Hitman: World of Assassination free-play window ran from September 25 to November 20, 2025, and has ended.
- Xbox Wire said several featured games would be on Game Pass and that most titles shown supported Xbox Play Anywhere. It named only some of those titles, so the table marks everything else as not stated.

Xbox studio reveals
Age of Mythology: Retold – Heavenly Spear
This Japan-inspired expansion follows Yasuko, a farmer’s daughter who discovers a magical spear and confronts Kagemasa. The campaign runs 12 missions.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Treyarch and Beenox showed two Japan-set multiplayer maps. Toshin is set in Tokyo in 2035, and Den is set in the countryside outside Tokyo. These were the show’s clearest Japan-focused multiplayer content from a major Xbox publisher.

Fallout 76
The developers thanked Japanese players and showed player-built C.A.M.P.s. The segment also recapped The Ghoul Within, Gone Fission, and C.A.M.P. Revamp. These were updates to an existing game, not new announcements.
Forza Horizon 6
The show closed with this reveal, setting the next Forza Horizon in Japan. The teaser showed Mount Fuji, water, urban environments, and cherry blossoms. The recap gives no month for the 2026 window.
Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update 20: Japan
The update adds 23 photogrammetry areas covering more than 20,000 square kilometres, five handcrafted airports, and 67 points of interest. Named places include Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka, Sapporo, and Tokyo. Xbox Wire described the world update as free. A NAMC YS-11 Local Legend aircraft was announced at $19.99 in the in-sim marketplace. That price was the one announced in September 2025 and is not verified for today.
Ninja Gaiden 4
Team Ninja and PlatinumGames showed how difficulty scales through enemy placement and AI. Other systems shown included a hero mode, adjustable assists, and a stand-alone training mode. Xbox Wire also reported that Ninja Gaiden 4-themed Xbox Design Lab standard and Elite Series 2 controllers were available for purchase at the time. The recap does not say whether those controllers are still in stock.

Partner reveals
007 First Light
Gemma Chan was revealed as Selina Tan, MI6’s Head of Tactical Simulation. The game is a standalone, reimagined origin story for James Bond.
Aniimo
The trailer introduced more creatures from Idyll and showed them interacting with each other and their environment.
Double Dragon Revive
Extra Mode was shown with more than 50 missions, character episodes, and two-player co-op, online or local.

Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake
The director discussed graphics and audio enhancements, changes to the Camera Obscura, and new action additions.
Gungrave GORE Blood Heat
This world premiere is a remake or rebuild in Unreal Engine 5. It showed dual-gun action, close-quarters combat, and a revised action system.
Hitman: World of Assassination
A Bruce Lee-themed mission was set around a martial-arts tournament in Bangkok.

A developer update introduced the second map, Solemn Needles. It includes the Divine Anchor, Hastine’s Fall, and Witchery Woods.
Monster Hunter Stories
Xbox announced that the first two games in the series would come to Xbox. The show also confirmed a third entry, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. Dates are in the table above.
Project Evilbane
This is a four-player co-op action RPG with skill customization and boss battles. The recap said a pre-alpha test would run through Xbox Insider.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

A first CG trailer highlighted an island setting, farming, DIY building, and a tease of multiplayer elements.
Sudden Strike 5
The recap announced a return for the WWII strategy series with an enhanced Doctrine System.
Terminull Brigade
The broadcast announced an Xbox console and PC launch and teased a collaboration with Evangelion. Xbox Wire listed it among titles expected on Game Pass.

The release-date trailer followed a mouse returning to a winter wilderness. It showed survival activities including cooking and knitting. Xbox Wire included it among Game Pass titles.

Xbox Wire says the broadcast included 25 games. Its breakdown names 23 games when each franchise is counted once, and the recap also features additional material that it does not list as separate announcements. This article covers all 23 named entries. It cannot reconcile the remaining difference from the recap alone, so the 25 figure is Xbox’s own count.
