The report cited long-to-short ratios below one for both tokens, but funding rates pointed in different directions: positive for XRP and negative for XLM. These are historical readings, not live quotes or a forecast.
What the October 6 report said
TradingPedia’s October 6, 2026 report described XRP trading near $1.499 and XLM below $0.220 on Tuesday. It attributed the derivatives readings below to CoinGlass. A separate market-news item published through TMGM repeated the approximate prices and long-to-short ratios, corroborating that the figures circulated in reporting but not independently validating them against raw market data.
| Asset | Reported price | Long-to-short ratio | Funding rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| XRP | Near $1.499 | 0.85 | 0.0097% (positive) |
| XLM | Below $0.220 | 0.96 | -0.0056% (negative) |
All figures in the table are the values reported by TradingPedia for its October 6, 2026 snapshot, with the derivatives figures attributed there to CoinGlass. They are not current market readings.
How to read the derivatives signals
Long-to-short ratios
TradingPedia interpreted ratios below one as a bearish tilt: its reported 0.85 for XRP and 0.96 for XLM indicate that the measured positioning leaned more short than long under the ratio’s particular construction. That does not establish that either token must fall. The ratio’s meaning depends on what positions, venues, and measurement window are included.

Funding rates
The funding readings were mixed rather than uniformly bearish. XRP’s reported rate was positive at 0.0097%, while XLM’s was negative at -0.0056%. Funding is a derivatives-market measure, not a direct signal of where a spot price will go; its interpretation depends on the contract and platform methodology.
Open interest and other dashboard data
Open interest, funding, trading volume, and long/short measures are among the derivatives indicators displayed on CoinGlass’s live XLM futures page. A live dashboard is useful for seeing what is being monitored, but its changing values cannot verify an earlier October 6 observation.

What the snapshot can—and cannot—show
The report presents a short-term picture of softer prices alongside cautious positioning, not proof that derivatives sentiment caused the pullback. Its figures are secondary reporting of a dashboard snapshot. No archived primary exchange record matching the precise observation time is available here, and the report does not establish enough detail to pin the ratios or funding readings to a single venue, aggregation method, measurement window, or contract type. Derivatives data can also differ across exchanges and instruments.
For context on the publication of digital-asset market data, Grayscale Stellar Lumens Trust’s Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 discusses digital-asset trading platforms and publicly disclosed trade data. The filing index records an August 4, 2026 filing date. It predates the October market report and does not verify its XRP or XLM prices or derivatives figures.
