Start by checking the YouTube ingest URL and RTMPS settings, then compare the encoder’s bitrate and stream-health messages with the VPS’s sustained outbound capacity. The available official JioCloud material does not establish that JioCloud offers the VPS in question, so confirm the provider and product in your account or invoice before attributing disconnects to Jio. This guide separates YouTube-side, encoder, network, and provider causes.
First, confirm what “JioCloud VPS” means
Check the legal service name and exact compute product in your billing console, invoice, or VM control panel. The official JioCloud FAQ located for this topic describes JioAICloud storage; it does not document a VPS product or its networking behavior. JioAICloud storage and a virtual machine are different services, so do not assume their policies or support are interchangeable. Jio’s JioAICloud FAQ
If your invoice names a different hosting company or product, use that provider’s support channel for the VPS questions below. If it does identify a Jio service, ask support to confirm the precise product and applicable network terms. No JioCloud VPS bandwidth, firewall, timeout, quota, or support rule is established here.
Verify YouTube’s ingest endpoint and RTMPS transport
YouTube recommends RTMPS, a secure extension of RTMP. Use the RTMPS URL supplied in YouTube Live Control Room and check each part: the rtmps scheme, ingestion hostname, application/path, stream key, and port. YouTube’s RTMPS guide specifies port 443 and SSL/TLS. A wrong hostname, port, path, or TLS configuration can cause timeouts or SSL errors; sending cleartext RTMP when the endpoint expects RTMPS will not work. - Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Copy the current ingest URL from YouTube rather than relying on an old saved endpoint.
- Confirm the stream key is the one selected for that broadcast and that the encoder uses the full URL and key in the appropriate fields.
- Keep the stream key private. Redact it from logs, screenshots, and support tickets; share diagnostic timestamps and error text instead.
- Check that the VM or its firewall/security group permits outbound TLS traffic to the endpoint on port 443.
Check whether the encoder can sustain its configured bitrate
Measure upload capacity from the VPS itself, not from your home internet connection. Test for a meaningful period, ideally while the stream is running, and note interruptions or packet loss as well as the average speed. Compare sustained capacity with the combined configured video and audio bitrate; a short speed-test peak is not proof that the connection can carry a continuous stream.
If capacity varies, lower resolution or bitrate first and run a representative test with the same kind of motion and audio as the intended broadcast. YouTube advises choosing reliable encoder settings for the available connection and testing before going live. Its Help page gives these H.264 recommended bitrate examples: 4 Mbps for 240p–720p at 30 fps, 6 Mbps for 720p at 60 fps, and 10 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps. These are YouTube encoder recommendations, not guarantees that a particular VPS can sustain them. Check YouTube’s current table and the guidance for your selected codec before changing settings.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Where supported, configure constant bitrate (CBR) and a two-second keyframe interval; YouTube says not to exceed four seconds. Keep codec and frame rate within YouTube’s supported configuration for the chosen output. YouTube’s encoder settings and bitrate guidance
Use stream health and timestamps to localize the drop
Record the exact time of each disconnect. At that time, inspect both YouTube Live Control Room’s stream-health status and the encoder log. The health messages can point to insufficient incoming video or configuration problems, including bitrate, codec, frame rate, or GOP/keyframe settings. Fix an indicated configuration issue before concluding that the host terminated the connection. YouTube Live API: stream status and health messages

- Keyframe/GOP warning: use the recommended two-second interval and do not exceed four seconds.
- No matching YouTube health issue: correlate the disconnect timestamp with encoder restarts, CPU load, interface drops, and provider/network events.
Investigate VPS and network behavior only after endpoint checks
If the URL, TLS transport, and encoder configuration are correct, examine the VM and its route to YouTube. These are diagnostic possibilities, not established JioCloud VPS behaviors:
- Look for network-interface drops, packet loss, or brief outbound interruptions around the recorded disconnect times.
- Check whether CPU starvation interrupts encoding, or whether the encoder process or VM restarts.
- Review firewall and security-group rules, host maintenance notices, and any egress or traffic limits in the actual provider’s documentation.
- Ask verified provider support whether it applies limits to long-lived outbound TCP/TLS sessions, outbound port 443, sustained traffic, or the VM’s network route, and whether an incident occurred at the relevant times.
The available JioCloud source does not answer those questions. Provide the provider with timestamps, the VM/product identifier, redacted logs, and a route or packet-loss diagnostic; never include the stream key.

Run a controlled test before changing hosts
- Keep the endpoint and encoder settings fixed, then test at a lower bitrate. Compare YouTube health, encoder logs, and network measurements at the same timestamps.
- If possible, send the same encoder and content through a different network or provider, or use a separate YouTube test stream. Change one factor at a time so the result points to a cause.
- If a host change is warranted, compare candidates on sustained outbound capacity and egress pricing, route quality and observed packet loss to YouTube ingest, long-lived outbound TLS policy, firewall controls, VM CPU headroom, monitoring, and incident support. No provider ranking, price, or service guarantee is established here.
Do not treat SRT as a drop-in replacement for YouTube RTMPS based on packet-recovery claims for Google Cloud’s separate Live Stream API; that does not establish YouTube ingest compatibility in this case. Google Cloud Live Stream API ingestion documentation
Or let it run in the cloud
If you want an always-on YouTube stream without maintaining an encoder process on a VPS, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos; it does not broadcast from a camera.
