What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
There is no documented one-click Google tool for copying a YouTube playlist directly from one YouTube account or channel to another. For that job, Soundiiz is the best-supported third-party option in the materials reviewed here: its support documentation describes transfers between accounts on the same service. Check the selected YouTube channel, track limit, and unmatched tracks before relying on the copy. Google Takeout and YouTube Music’s transfer flow are primarily for moving eligible music playlists between services, not for universal YouTube account migration.
First, identify what you are moving
“Move a YouTube playlist” can mean copying a playlist you created to another YouTube channel, migrating a music playlist to a different streaming service, or saving someone else’s playlist in another account. Those are different tasks, and available tools do not handle every playlist type alike.
- A playlist you created: This is the clearest case for a same-service account transfer tool or a manual/API recreation.
- A playlist created by someone else: You may be able to save it to your library, but Google’s documented export flow does not copy saved playlists owned by other users.
- Liked Music, curated playlists, or collaborative playlists you do not own: Google’s Takeout music transfer excludes these categories.
- Private or user-uploaded content, podcasts: These are not covered by Google’s documented music-playlist copy flow; Google says that flow supports catalog music tracks only.
Also decide whether the destination is another YouTube channel, YouTube Music, or an external service. A transfer is generally a copy, not a continuing link between playlists: Google says its documented transfers do not sync later edits.
Which transfer route fits?
| Route | Best fit | Important limits |
|---|---|---|
| Soundiiz | Third-party transfers across compatible services, including between accounts on the same service | The free plan allows eligible one-at-a-time playlist transfers with up to 200 selected tracks per transfer. Batch transfers and some library categories require a paid plan. Tracks are matched against the destination catalog, so review unmatched items and confirm the correct channel. |
| Google Takeout / YouTube Music transfer | Copying eligible created YouTube Music playlists to a supported external music service, or importing from another music service into YouTube Music | Not a documented direct YouTube-account-to-account transfer. The Takeout copy is one-time; it excludes several playlist types and only supports catalog music tracks. Unavailable tracks may not transfer. |
| TuneMyMusic | Moving playlists or libraries between the services it lists as compatible | Google and YouTube Music name it as a third-party cross-service option, but the reviewed documentation does not establish direct YouTube-account-to-YouTube-account copying. Check its exact workflow and plan before depending on it for that task. |
| YouTube Data API | A developer-built recreation process for playlist items | Requires API setup and account authorization; it is not a ready-made consumer transfer button. |
Copy a playlist between YouTube accounts with Soundiiz
Soundiiz is the clearest fit among these options when the source and destination are accounts on the same service. The exact screen labels can change, so use the service’s current transfer flow and verify each account before starting.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Check the source playlist. Confirm you can access it and that it is a playlist you intend to copy. If it is private, collaborative, or not yours, check that the chosen method can access and transfer it.
- Connect the source and destination. Authorize the relevant YouTube accounts in Soundiiz. Google accounts can contain multiple YouTube channels; select the intended channel, not merely the correct Google login. Soundiiz says transfers go to the channel connected to the service.
- Select the transfer. Choose the source playlist and destination account/channel in Soundiiz’s transfer workflow. The free plan’s documented selection limit is up to 200 tracks per eligible one-at-a-time playlist transfer; batch transfers require a paid plan.
- Review the matching results. Soundiiz searches for equivalent tracks in the destination catalog and identifies unmatched items. A title match is not a guarantee that the recording or version is identical, so compare artists, editions, and track order where accuracy matters.
- Verify in YouTube. Open the destination channel and inspect the created playlist, its visibility, item count, and representative tracks. Treat the result as a copy unless the service explicitly documents ongoing synchronization.
If YouTube temporarily limits requests or reports a playlist-limit error, Soundiiz documents these as possible issues. Confirm that the selected channel can create a playlist, check that the intended channel is connected, and retry after request limiting subsides rather than repeatedly launching transfers.
When Google Takeout or YouTube Music is the right choice
Google’s official transfer documentation is useful when the goal is to move eligible music playlists between YouTube Music and an external music service—not to migrate a whole YouTube account. Google Takeout currently describes a direct copy flow to Apple Music, and Google separately names Soundiiz and TuneMyMusic as third-party services for exporting YouTube playlists to other services. YouTube Music also describes importing from other music services using tools including TuneMyMusic and Soundiiz.

The documented Google copy is one-time: later edits in either service do not update the other. It includes created playlists, not saved playlists owned by other users, curated YouTube Music playlists, Liked Music, collaborative playlists you do not own, user-uploaded or private content, or podcasts. Google says only catalog music tracks are supported. For import into YouTube Music, unavailable tracks may be omitted, and podcasts are excluded. Google states that playlists are not deleted from the Google Account after sharing a copy through its documented flow; that reassurance should not be generalized to third-party transfers.
Use TuneMyMusic only for a confirmed cross-service workflow
TuneMyMusic says it supports YouTube and YouTube Music and offers playlist or library transfers between listed services, along with file- and URL-based import paths. That makes it relevant when moving between music platforms. The available documentation does not establish that it copies directly from one YouTube account to another, so confirm the exact source and destination workflow before granting access or paying for a plan.

Developer option: recreate playlist items with the YouTube Data API
For a custom workflow, YouTube’s Data API includes operations to list, create, update, and delete playlists, and to list or insert playlist items. A developer can authorize access to the source, collect its playlist items, then create a new playlist and add available items under the destination account. This is a technical recreation, not an automatic transfer of ownership or a consumer-friendly migration button. Permissions, API authorization, unavailable videos, and destination account access all affect what can be recreated.
Before you transfer: a short checklist
- Identify the playlist category and whether you own it.
- Confirm the destination is the specific YouTube channel or music service you mean.
- Check the tool’s selection limit, batch rules, and payment requirement for your intended transfer.
- Review authorization prompts and the source/destination profiles or channels selected.
- Inspect unmatched tracks and the resulting playlist rather than assuming every item copied exactly.
- Assume future edits will not sync unless the service explicitly says otherwise.
