Zachary “Zekken” Patrone was 16 when Dot Esports featured him in 2021 coverage of young players competing in North American VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT). That makes his youth an important part of his early-career story—not a current ranking. His player history traces a path through XSET and Sentinels to a MIBR listing in the profile consulted; current affiliation should be checked against Riot’s Global Contract Database.
Who is Zekken?
Zekken is the competitive player name of Zachary Jude Patrone. Liquipedia lists his birth date as March 19, 2005. He became a subject of coverage about young North American VALORANT professionals while still a teenager, with Dot Esports describing him as 16 in its 2021 reporting.
That historical framing matters: “youngest” depends on the date and the group being counted. A story about a 16-year-old player in 2021 does not establish his place in a current age ranking.
How his career progressed
Liquipedia’s player-history profile records Zekken’s early team progression, his time with XSET, a period with Sentinels, and a subsequent MIBR listing. This chronology provides a useful outline of his competitive career, but it does not by itself explain why any roster change happened; no motive or circumstance should be inferred from the sequence alone.

Team affiliations can change. Riot’s VALORANT Competitive Operations resources describe the international-league structure and direct readers to the Global Contract Database, the appropriate place to verify official roster affiliations. A current account should check that database rather than treating a player-history page as a live roster announcement.
Why he was called one of North America’s young pros
Dot Esports’ 2021 coverage placed Zekken in the conversation about the youngest players competing in North American VCT and identified him as 16 at the time. That is the clearest support for the “young professional” angle: it is a dated observation about his age and competition context, not a timeless accolade.

- 5 Decent Backlit Modes - Turn the backlit on and make some kills in your gaming battlefield. The hyped dynamic RGB backlit vibe will never let you down when decorating your gaming space, it would be better with other Redragon accessories with lights on.
- Fatigue Killer with Ergonomic Design - Solid frame with a streamlined and general claw-grip design offers a satisfying and comfortable gaming experience with less fatigue even though after hours of use.
ONE Esports has also published interview-based context about Zekken’s early ranked experience. That can add background to how he approached the game, but it should be attributed to that report rather than treated as a substitute for an independently established career milestone.
What “other young bloods” can—and cannot—mean
The available evidence does not establish a reliable current list of Zekken’s youngest professional peers. A fair comparison needs a defined cutoff and a shared competition scope. Without those, “youngest” can mix unlike cases and dates: international-league players, Challengers competitors and academy players are not one consistent roster pool.

To build a defensible peer comparison, specify:
- Date: when the ages and affiliations are being assessed.
- Age rule: the exact cutoff, such as under 18 on the tournament’s opening day.
- Region and tier: for example, a named international league, rather than an undefined mix of regions and competition levels.
- Evidence: age at the relevant event, first VCT appearance or debut, role, and achievements, using the same criteria for each player.
Riot’s roster resources are the verification route for current affiliations. Dot Esports’ 2021 coverage is useful for historical context, but it is not a current census of young professionals.

Razer announced Zekken as one of its esports athletes in a release that discussed his performance at the 2023 AfreecaTV VALORANT League. This supports a sponsor relationship at that time. The announcement does not establish which specific Razer products he uses, so it should not be presented as a personal gear recommendation.
