Who is Hoshimi Miyabi?
Miyabi is presented in the announcement as the headline character of the update. The S-Rank claim for Harumasa was a limited promotional statement tied to the update period. The sources do not establish whether any similar offer exists in later versions or in the current game.
Asaba Harumasa and why the reveal was not the whole update
Harumasa was described by HoYoverse as an Electric Attack agent whose weapon can shift between bow and blade. Miyabi’s debut was the lead promotion, but the update also gave players a second new agent to use. Because of that, readers searching for “the new character in version 1.4” should understand that the answer depends on what they count as new: Miyabi was the spotlight reveal, and Harumasa was a parallel addition in the same patch.

Other content in the Version 1.4 update
HoYoverse’s announcement covered more than the two agents. According to the developer’s description, the update included:
- Chapter 5 story content.
- A “Shadows Lost” Hollow Zero update.
- New explorable areas, Port Elpis and Reverb Arena.
- A Quality Time feature.
- Gameplay and progression changes.
These are listed as the developer described them in 2024. Detailed mechanics, rewards and schedules were set out in HoYoverse’s official update-detail page at launch, and the current state of those systems may have changed in later updates.

PS5 Pro performance claims
The PlayStation Blog post also described visual and performance improvements on PS5 Pro, including native 4K output at 60 frames per second and an average frame rate increase of nearly ten frames. These are developer-reported figures. They were not independently measured in the sources available for this article, and they describe the game at the December 2024 release rather than on any later patch.
What this coverage does and does not establish
