Those details—and a claimed performance gain—remain reported specifications rather than a confirmed final retail product: current official ZOTAC pricing, release timing, and availability have not been established.
What are the reported ZOTAC ZONE Pro specs?
HotHardware’s September 2025 report described the ZONE Pro with these features. They should be treated as reported, not as a finalized ZOTAC specification sheet.

Manjaro Linux is the operating system HotHardware reported for the ZONE Pro. That makes the device notable as a prospective Linux-based alternative to Windows handhelds, but it does not establish which games, launchers, anti-cheat systems, or peripherals will work on a final product. Compatibility depends on the specific game and configuration, and no verified compatibility list for the reported ZONE Pro is established here.

What does Zotac’s performance claim mean?
HotHardware attributed a claimed 15–20% performance improvement over the previous-generation ZONE to Zotac. The outlet’s report does not provide an independent benchmark validating that uplift. It should therefore be read as a company claim, not as a measured result or a guarantee of how much faster the handheld will run a particular game.
How does the reported ZONE Pro compare with the ROG Xbox Ally?
The comparison needs a precise model name. ASUS’s 2025 ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X are not the same device as the separately identified 2026 ROG Xbox Ally X20. ASUS lists a Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme and a 7.4-inch OLED for the X20; those specifications must not be attributed to the 2025 models.

| Device or model family | What the cited material establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| ZOTAC ZONE Pro (reported, 2025) | HotHardware reported Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, Manjaro Linux, 7-inch OLED, 32 GB memory, and a kickstand. | Final specifications, independent matched-power benchmarks, battery capacity or tested battery life, price, release date, and current availability. |
| ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X (2025) | ASUS announced an October 16, 2025 store-shelf date. Xbox Wire described access to Xbox, Game Pass where available, and installed games from Battle.net and other leading PC stores. | The cited details do not provide a like-for-like performance comparison with the reported ZONE Pro or establish that every game works identically on every model and configuration. |
| ROG Xbox Ally X20 (2026) | ASUS lists a Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor and 7.4-inch OLED panel. | These X20 specifications do not describe the 2025 Ally or Ally X. |
ASUS’s October 16 date was an announced historical launch date, not evidence of present stock or pricing by region. The software comparison is also not simply “Linux versus Xbox”: Microsoft’s developer resource hub and Xbox Wire’s 2025 description provide context for the Ally experience, but neither proves universal game compatibility.
What should buyers verify before comparing them?
Until ZOTAC publishes final product information, the ZONE Pro cannot be compared fairly on several factors that determine handheld value and real-world play. A useful comparison should verify:
