Poki is a browser-based gaming platform with more than 1,500 games, according to its current site and FAQ. You can play these browser versions on desktop, phone, or tablet without downloading software. The trade-offs are that you need an internet connection, advertisements are part of the free service, and mobile controls may not feel as comfortable as keyboard and mouse controls.

The 15 best free games on Poki
1. Level Devil — best for difficult platforming
Level Devil looks like a straightforward platformer until the level changes the rules. Disappearing platforms, reversals, fake-safe routes, and surprise traps make each attempt a test of memory and timing. Poki describes nearly 200 levels across three worlds, plus a two-player mode played over five rounds.
#1 Best Overall
- Compatible with Windows and Android.
- 1000Hz Polling Rate (for 2.4G and wired connection)
- Hall Effect joysticks and Hall triggers. Wear-resistant metal joystick rings.
- Extra R4/L4 bumpers. Custom button mapping without using software. Turbo function.
- Refined bumpers and D-pad. Light but tactile.
Controls: A/D or arrow keys to move; W, Up Arrow, or Space to jump. Mobile players use on-screen controls.
Best for: Short retries and players who enjoy learning from failure. Caveat: Its deliberately deceptive design can be frustrating if you want a relaxing game.
2. Smash Karts — best multiplayer pick
Smash Karts combines racing with arena combat. You drive, collect random weapons, respawn after crashes, and chase a high score in fast matches. Standard matches last three minutes, and Poki lists modes including Free For All, Capture the Flag, Hat Holder, Gem Collector, and Arms Race.
Controls: WASD or arrow keys to drive and Space to use weapons. Mobile controls are displayed on-screen.
Best for: Competitive online sessions. Caveat: It requires an internet connection and is much more chaotic than conventional racing.
3. Subway Surfers — best endless runner
Subway Surfers is an immediately understandable reflex game: run along railway tracks, dodge obstacles, collect items, and try to beat your previous score. It works particularly well when you have only a few minutes.
Best for: Quick sessions and repeated score attempts. Caveat: There is no conventional story endpoint; the appeal is improving your run.

It introduces powerful new features such as gyro settings, stick curve adjustments, and button-to-mouse mapping, giving you deeper customization and more control than ever before.
4. Blocky Blast Puzzle — best casual puzzle
Blocky Blast Puzzle gives the list a slower alternative to racing and action games. Its block-based format is suited to relaxed solo play and short sessions where planning matters more than reaction speed.
Best for: Players who want a puzzle break. Caveat: Puzzle rules, scoring, and timing can change, so check the current game screen before assuming a particular mode.
5. Drive Mad — best physics-based driving game
In Drive Mad, speed is only part of the challenge. You must control momentum, keep the vehicle balanced, and survive uneven tracks. Small steering errors can send the vehicle off the course, making each restart useful practice.
Best for: Trial-and-error driving and physics challenges. Caveat: It is punishing when you expect a conventional racing game.

6. Retro Bowl — best sports-management hybrid
Retro Bowl combines simple American-football action with roster, season, and management decisions. It offers more progression and planning than a one-minute arcade match without trying to be a full console-style simulation.
Best for: Players who want a longer-running sports game. Caveat: Do not assume that its browser version is an online multiplayer football simulator.
7. Stickman Hook — best momentum skill game
Stickman Hook is built around swinging, timing, and momentum. The basic idea is easy to understand, but mastering when to attach and release the hook takes repeated attempts.

Best for: Skill improvement and short platforming sessions. Caveat: Its focus is execution rather than exploration or narrative.
8. Monkey Mart — best light management game
Monkey Mart turns stocking shelves and serving customers into a relaxed progression loop. It is a useful choice when you want upgrades and routine management rather than combat or high-speed action.
Best for: Casual simulation fans. Caveat: Treat it as a light browser management game, not a deep economic simulator.
9. Master Chess — best strategy game
Master Chess supplies the deliberate option in this list. Chess is slower than Poki’s arcade games and rewards planning, pattern recognition, and patience rather than rapid reactions.
Best for: Chess practice and strategic play. Caveat: Check the live page for the currently available computer, local, or online modes.
10. MineFun.io — best block-based multiplayer option
MineFun.io is aimed at players who want a block-based browser experience with online play. It adds exploration and sandbox-style interest to a list otherwise dominated by short arcade rounds.
Best for: Players looking for multiplayer block-based play. Caveat: It should not be described as Minecraft or assumed to contain Minecraft’s full feature set. A stable connection is important.

Best for: Instant arcade play and score chasing. Caveat: Players seeking realistic racing or extensive vehicle customization may find it repetitive.

Vortella’s Dress Up offers outfit creation and relaxed social play instead of conventional win-or-lose competition. Poki identifies it as one of its web-exclusive or licensed games and says it uses Safe Chat with predefined messages rather than unrestricted chat.
Best for: Customization and creative play. Caveat: Parents should still review the experience and its social context for younger players.
13. Papa’s Freezeria — best time-management classic
Papa’s Freezeria revolves around taking orders, preparing desserts, serving customers, and improving the business. Its progression makes it a stronger choice for players who enjoy structured tasks over endless score chasing.
Best for: Restaurant and time-management fans. Caveat: It is a task-management game, not a free-roaming restaurant simulator.
14. Basketball REAL — best quick sports game
Basketball REAL provides a more immediate sports session than Retro Bowl. It suits players who want quick basketball action rather than a season-management loop.
Best Value
- Multi-Platform PC Gaming Controller: Working with Switch, PC, Android, and iOS devices via Bluetooth, wired, and wireless dongle connections.

- Mechanical Circular D-pad: Designed for quick reactions and accuracy in every direction, this D-pad elevates your gaming experience with superior responsiveness.
Best for: Short sports sessions. Caveat: Check the current page for its available modes and multiplayer behavior; sports titles should not automatically be assumed to support online competition.
15. Ragdoll Hit — best physics-combat game
Ragdoll Hit uses chaotic movement and physics-based fighting for a more humorous, unpredictable action experience. It adds variety without simply repeating Smash Karts’ vehicle combat.
Best for: Players who enjoy slapstick physics and action. Caveat: Its combat content may not suit every child or family, so review it before recommending it to younger players.

What is Poki, and is it really free?
Poki is a browser gaming platform, not one individual game. It hosts titles from multiple developers and organizes them into categories such as 2 Player Games, Multiplayer Games, .io Games, Car Games, Puzzle Games, Sports Games, Dress Up Games, Strategy Games, and Simulation Games.
Every game in this list is free to start and play on Poki, although Poki may show advertisements before or during the experience. Poki says advertising supports the service and developers, and the main Poki.com site does not offer a paid ad-free tier. Browser play requires an internet connection and does not require a download or installation.
Accounts, progress, and devices
An account is optional. Without one, progress may be stored in browser cookies. Private browsing, cookie blockers, or clearing site data can remove that local progress. An account can store progress online and make it easier to continue across devices, so it is worth considering if you care about long-term progress.
Poki says its games are available on desktop, phone, and tablet, but technical availability is not the same as comfort. Desktop is usually preferable for precise platforming, chess, and management controls. Phones and tablets are convenient for quick sessions, but touch controls may feel less precise in games designed around a keyboard or mouse.

Poki says its games and advertisements are reviewed and offers a separate ad-free Poki Kids site. That is a platform-level statement, not a guarantee that every title suits every age. Parents should review individual games, especially combat-oriented or socially interactive titles. Multiplayer games can involve interaction with other players, while some social games use predefined Safe Chat messages.
If Poki will not load
- Check your internet connection.
- Exit private or incognito browsing.
- If the site is malfunctioning, temporarily disable ad-blocking extensions.
- Refresh the page.
- Try a current browser or another device.
- If the problem continues, contact Poki with the game name, browser, device, and a screenshot.
Some school and workplace networks block gaming sites by policy. Do not assume a loading failure is a game fault, and do not try to bypass a network restriction.
