1912: Titanic Mystery is a hidden-object puzzle adventure, not a documentary about the Titanic disaster. Its fictional story takes place aboard Titanic II, a replica ship on its maiden Atlantic crossing, where the player searches for a bomb and investigates a mystery linked to the original Titanic.
What is 1912: Titanic Mystery?
Mad Data developed 1912: Titanic Mystery, and HH-Games published it. Steam categorizes it as an adventure and casual game. Its Titanic connection is a fictional premise: the game is set aboard Titanic II and should not be mistaken for a historical account of RMS Titanic or the 1912 disaster. Steam’s game listing and Big Fish Games’ title page describe the setup.
How does the gameplay work?
The player searches locations aboard Titanic II for objects and clues, finds diary entries, and solves puzzles while trying to locate the bomb. MobyGames describes a recurring sequence of object-search activities: finding instances of an object, searching a list, collecting pieces of a tool, then using that tool to unlock a minigame. Examples listed include jigsaw puzzles, spot-the-difference puzzles, and Morse-code decoding. Puzzles can be skipped at the cost of a time penalty, according to the database description; this is not an independently tested account of play. MobyGames’ entry outlines the sequence.

Confirm that the live listing is for the platform and edition you want before buying. The storefront dates also differ: Big Fish lists November 2, 2009, while Steam lists July 17, 2019. Those are separate storefront release records; the pages do not explain the full release history or why the dates differ.
