For most Bedrock survival groups, BisectHosting is the strongest overall choice; Shockbyte is the clearest budget pick, while Nodecraft offers the best user experience. The right host depends on more than RAM or an introductory price. You also need to confirm native Bedrock support, console connectivity, server location, backups, add-on compatibility, renewal pricing, and whether the server stays online continuously.
This comparison uses commercial information captured in August 2026. Prices, locations, promotions, and product features can change, so verify the final checkout price and Bedrock compatibility before paying. No independent latency or uptime testing was performed.

“Native Bedrock” means a Bedrock-compatible server rather than merely a Java server configured with Geyser. A provider’s uptime, performance, and support statements are provider claims, not independent measurements.
1. BisectHosting — best overall
BisectHosting is the best starting point for most readers who want a managed server with room to grow. Its product information lists Bedrock support, Java–Bedrock crossplay, 21 locations, NVMe storage, DDoS protection, 24/7 support, FTP and file-manager access, configurable backups, server importing, game switching, and one-click modpack installation.
#1 Best Overall
- Minecraft is a game about placing blocks and going on adventures
- Explore randomly generated worlds and build amazing things from the simplest of homes to the grandest of castles
- Play in creative mode with unlimited resources or mine deep into the world in survival mode, crafting weapons and armor to fend off the dangerous mobs
- Play on the go in handheld or tabletop modes
- Includes Super Mario Mash-Up, Natural Texture Pack, Biome Settlers Skin Pack, Battle & Beasts Skin Pack, Campfire Tales Skin Pack; Compatible with Nintendo Switch only
Why choose it
- Good fit for small survival groups that may later add more content.
- Broad location selection can help groups spread across regions.
- File access and backup tools are useful when moving an existing world.
- Its modpack ecosystem is stronger than what a basic vanilla Bedrock server usually needs.
What to verify
The captured public page did not expose a simple current Bedrock monthly starting price. Do not substitute a generic Java price. Check the exact Bedrock price, renewal rate, available locations, add-on support, console connection method, and plan-level backup retention at checkout. BisectHosting’s page presents both daily-backup language and a broader seven-day backup description, so confirm which retention policy applies to the plan selected.
Verdict: The strongest all-round managed option if the current Bedrock checkout price is competitive.
2. Shockbyte — best budget pick
Shockbyte has the clearest Bedrock-specific entry pricing in this comparison. Its product page lists plans from $3.99 per month for 1 GB RAM, followed by published tiers of 2 GB at $7.99, 3 GB at $11.99, 4 GB at $15.99, 5 GB at $19.99, and 6 GB at $23.99 per month.
The page also advertises instant setup, DDoS protection, 24/7 support, behavior-pack and add-on support, mobile, console, and PC Bedrock compatibility, a 99.9% uptime claim, and a 72-hour self-serve refund claim. These are stated product claims rather than independent test results.
Best use case
Shockbyte is a sensible choice for a small group that wants a paid, always-online Bedrock server without starting at a high price. The 1 GB plan should be treated as an entry point for a small vanilla world, not a universal recommendation. Heavy add-ons, high simulation distance, large farms, exploration, or several simultaneous players may require more resources.
Verdict: The clearest budget recommendation, provided you select enough RAM for the actual world and confirm the normal billing rate.

3. Nodecraft — best user experience
Nodecraft is attractive when a polished control panel matters more than the lowest recurring price. It supports Bedrock and Java instances, game switching, file-manager and SFTP access, save management, DDoS protection, human support, and more than 28 locations according to its product information.

- Skins! We have biome settlers, city folk, town folk, and more!
- The Nether and all its inhabitants. Fight Ghasts and make friends with Pigmen
- Cross platform play for up to five players between Pocket Edition and Windows 10
- Revamped touch controls, controller support, and a controller mapping screen
- Enhanced Weather effects! Accumulating snow and more
Its Lite and Pro tiers are especially important. Lite servers can hibernate when unused, while Pro plans are designed to remain online continuously. That makes a cheap Lite plan a poor comparison with an always-on rental if friends expect to join at any time.
Displayed pricing
The captured pricing showed the difference between promotion and renewal:
- Lite 2 GB: $4.17 for the first month, then $5.96/month.
- Lite 4 GB: $8.34 for the first month, then $11.92/month.
- Pro 2 GB: $6.99 for the first month, then $9.98/month.
- Pro 4 GB: $13.99 for the first month, then $19.98/month.
- Pro 8 GB: $27.99 for the first month, then $39.98/month.
These prices were observed on August 18, 2026 and should be rechecked before publication or purchase. Nodecraft distinguishes backup behavior by tier: Lite automatically backs up on hibernation, while Pro includes manual cloud backups and weekly automatic backups with more control. Its published support hours should not automatically be converted into a promise of 24/7 live-agent availability.
Verdict: A strong choice for easy management, multi-game switching, and a refined panel, but not the bargain option after the first-month promotion.
4. Apex Hosting — established beginner-friendly alternative
Apex Hosting is widely positioned by secondary Minecraft-hosting coverage as an established, beginner-friendly managed host with an easy panel, support, backups, and DDoS protection. TechRadar’s comparison coverage is useful context, but it is not a substitute for verifying the current product page.
The official Bedrock pricing page was not available in the source review. As a result, this listing should remain conditional:
- Do not publish an exact Apex price from memory.
- Confirm whether the current product is native Bedrock, Java crossplay, or a separate Bedrock service.
- Check current renewal pricing, locations, refund terms, add-on support, and console connection instructions.
- Do not assign a player count to a particular RAM plan without current official documentation.
Verdict: Worth considering for beginners if its current Bedrock product and pricing are clearly documented before purchase.

- PLAY TOGETHER — Play cross-platform with friends in Bedrock Edition on console, mobile, and PC, or join community servers in Java Edition on PC, Mac, and Linux. Online console multiplayer requires a platform-specific subscription (sold separately).
5. ScalaCube — low-cost and multi-server option, with a Bedrock warning
ScalaCube advertises plans from $2 per month, a 50% first-invoice promotion, a seven-day money-back guarantee, multiple servers, DDoS protection, backups, full file access, free MySQL, a free domain, instant setup, and more than 3,298 modpacks. It also advertises unlimited slots.
That “unlimited” wording requires context. ScalaCube’s own page explains that available memory, CPU, and disk resources are limited and that practical capacity depends on plugins, mods, and other server demands. An unlimited slot label does not mean unlimited usable performance.
Why it is not a straightforward Bedrock recommendation
The captured official setup instructions specifically direct users toward Minecraft Java server hosting and do not clearly document native Bedrock support. Before choosing ScalaCube for this article’s audience, confirm:
- Whether a native Bedrock product is currently available.
- Whether the advertised $2 price applies to Bedrock.
- Whether “Bedrock support” means native Bedrock or Java crossplay.
- Whether behavior packs, resource packs, and console connections work as expected.
Verdict: Potentially appealing for low-cost multi-server or modpack use, but it should not be treated as a confirmed native Bedrock choice until checkout and support documentation verify it.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minute6. Hostinger VPS — best for technical control
Hostinger’s Minecraft VPS is fundamentally different from a managed game-hosting plan. Its official page lists Bedrock (Pocket) support, root access, multiple server types, locations across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, DDoS protection, firewall tools, automatic backups, manual snapshots, a 99.9% uptime guarantee claim, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
The displayed starting price was $6.99 per month on a 24-month term, excluding VAT. That is a long commitment, not a month-to-month comparison with every game-hosting plan.
What you take responsibility for
Root access gives you flexibility, but you must install and update Bedrock, configure the firewall, manage startup and restart scripts, monitor the server, maintain backups, apply security updates, and troubleshoot failures. Instructions for Java tools such as Forge and Fabric should not be assumed to apply to Bedrock.

- The classic UNO card game builds fun on game night with a Minecraft theme.
- UNO Minecraft features a deck and storage tin decorated with graphics from the popular video game.
- Players match colors and numbers to the card on top of the discard pile as in the classic game.
- The Creeper card unique to this deck forces other players to draw 3 cards.
- Makes a great gift for kid, teen, adult and family game nights with 2 to 10 players ages 7 years and older, especially Minecraft and video game fans.
Verdict: Best for technically confident users who want control over the operating system and server environment; inconvenient for anyone seeking a one-click managed Bedrock experience.

1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesHow much RAM does a Bedrock server need?
Use these as starting ranges, not guaranteed player limits:
| RAM | Reasonable starting scenario |
|---|---|
| 1–2 GB | Small vanilla world and a few friends |
| 3–4 GB | Larger casual group, exploration, or light add-ons |
| 4–8 GB | Heavier add-ons, more simultaneous players, large worlds, or demanding simulation settings |
| 8 GB+ | Larger communities or unusually demanding content |
Mojang’s official Bedrock Dedicated Server documentation lists 4 GB RAM in its system requirements and notes that larger worlds or more players require additional memory, storage, and processing power. That is not a universal recommendation for a rented plan.
Player capacity also depends on CPU allocation, node contention, disk I/O, world complexity, entities, redstone, farms, simulation distance, view distance, add-ons, and concurrent players. More RAM cannot repair weak CPU performance, poor routing, or an overloaded host node.
Native Bedrock versus Java crossplay
A native Bedrock server uses Mojang’s Bedrock Dedicated Server software or another Bedrock-compatible stack. The official software is available for supported Windows and Ubuntu/Linux systems from Minecraft’s download page.
Java–Bedrock crossplay is different. It generally uses a Java server with Geyser and often Floodgate. Bedrock users may be able to join, but the server remains Java-based, and Java plugins, mods, world behavior, and Bedrock add-ons are not interchangeable.
Before ordering, ask:
- Is the product genuinely native Bedrock?
- Is Geyser preinstalled, one-click, or manual?
- Can Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch players connect directly?
- Are behavior packs and resource packs supported separately from Java plugins?
- Does the server require a custom DNS record, tunnel, or console workaround?
“Cross-platform” is not proof of native Bedrock hosting. Bedrock is available on Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS, but console connection methods can still differ by platform and provider.

What to compare besides RAM
- Bedrock compatibility: native server software, current version support, add-ons, and console access.
- Location: choose the region closest to most players, not necessarily the server owner.
- CPU and allocation: look for clear resource policies rather than relying on RAM alone.
- Backups: check frequency, retention, download access, and restore behavior.
- DDoS protection and network policy: treat protection and uptime claims as provider statements.
- Panel and file access: uploading worlds and pack files should not require unnecessary support tickets.
- Support: distinguish ticket availability from continuously staffed live support.
- Renewal price: include promotions, taxes, billing terms, IP charges, and backup charges.
- Upgrade flexibility: check whether RAM, locations, storage, and player limits can be changed later.
Backups and world migration
A backup is valuable only if it runs successfully, has a clear retention period, can be downloaded, and can be restored without silently destroying newer data. Keep independent offline copies of important worlds even when the host advertises automatic backups.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →When moving a Bedrock world, you may need more than the world folder. Depending on the server and add-ons, migration can include:
- The world folder.
world_behavior_packs.json.world_resource_packs.json.- Behavior-pack files and resource-pack files.
- Server configuration and properties.
File paths and upload procedures vary by provider. Back up the current world before changing versions or installing an add-on, and test a restore process before the server becomes important to a larger community.
Bedrock updates, add-ons, and common failures
Version mismatch
After a Bedrock client update, the server may need a matching build. Check the client version, server version, automatic-update behavior, rollback options, and preview-build support. Shockbyte advertises pre-release and full-release support, but that remains a provider claim and does not guarantee every build will be available immediately.
Add-on installation
Bedrock add-ons generally involve behavior packs and resource packs rather than Java mods. Confirm how packs are uploaded, whether dependencies remain intact, whether they must be activated in world settings, and whether the host backs up the pack files as well as the world.
Console connection problems
A server can work from Windows or mobile while console users cannot enter its address through the normal interface. Verify Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch connection instructions before paying if console access is essential.
Alternatives to third-party hosting
Minecraft Realms
Realms is the simplest official option for readers who want minimal setup and do not need extensive file access or custom server software. It is less flexible than third-party hosting for advanced administration, broad add-on management, Java crossplay, or detailed backups. Verify current pricing and player limits separately.
Self-hosting
Mojang provides the official Bedrock Dedicated Server free to download. Self-hosting avoids a monthly rental but leaves you responsible for compatible hardware, port and firewall configuration, updates, monitoring, backups, and security. It is a poor fit for readers who want a low-maintenance 24/7 service from a home connection.
Free hosts
Free providers can be useful for experimentation, but queues, sleep timers, advertisements, restricted resources, and weaker backup options make them unsuitable for readers who expect a dependable always-online world.
