These were historical Best Buy Black Friday deals reported on November 29, 2024—not prices confirmed for 2026. The roundup covered seven products for building or upgrading a gaming setup: two Windows handhelds, a mouse, keyboard, headset, chair, and high-refresh monitor. The source’s headline correctly referred to seven deals, although one internal heading mistakenly said “six.”
Prices, stock, condition, and availability were time-sensitive. The figures below are the advertised 2024 prices reported by Laptop Mag, not independently verified all-time lows.

| Asus TUF Gaming VG27VQMY | Gaming monitor | $179, down from $259 | $80 | 1080p competitive gaming |
By advertised markdown percentage, the keyboard had the largest reduction at approximately 51.3%. The A50 headset followed at about 40.2%, while the Basilisk mouse was reduced by roughly 37.7%. These calculations describe the listed “was” and “now” prices; they do not prove that any deal was an all-time price low.

2024 deal: $549, reduced from $749, for an advertised $200 saving.

- 【EASY ON THE EYES】 Protect your eyes and enhance your comfort with Blue-Light Shift technology. This feature reduces harmful blue light emissions from your screen, helping to alleviate eye strain during long hours of use and promoting healthier viewing habits.
- 【WIDEN YOUR PERSPECTIVE】Our sleek minimal bezel design ensures undivided attention. The nearly bezel-free display seamlessly connects in a dual monitor arrangement, delivering an unobstructed view that lets you focus on more at once, completely distraction-free.
The listed configuration paired an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor with 16GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, and an 8.8-inch 144Hz WQXGA display. Its detachable controllers made it particularly suited to buyers who wanted a handheld that could also be used in a more traditional controller-style setup. Laptop Mag gave the Legion Go a 4.5-star score and highlighted its display and ergonomics.
This was the strongest choice for someone prioritizing screen size and detachable controls. The trade-off is that a Windows handheld remains a compromise compared with a desktop gaming PC: performance, battery life, thermals, and portability all affect how it is used. It should not be treated as a replacement for a high-end desktop.
2. Asus ROG Ally X: best handheld for higher memory capacity
2024 deal: $699, reduced from $799, for an advertised $100 saving.
The ROG Ally X used the same Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor family listed for the Legion Go but offered 24GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Its display was smaller—a 7-inch 1,920 × 1,080 panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
That combination made the Ally X the more compelling option for buyers who valued additional memory over a larger screen. Laptop Mag named it an Editor’s Choice and awarded it 4.5 stars, but those are the publication’s judgments rather than a universal ranking. Choose it over the Legion Go if compactness and memory capacity matter more than screen size and detachable-controller flexibility.
Rank #2
- QHD Resolution (2560 x 1440) has 1.7 times the pixel density of Full HD for incredibly detailed pinsharp images
- HDR10 provides brighter highlights and nuanced shadow for added depth - making every scene feel more vivid and realistic
- The 180Hz refresh rate minimizes lag for gameplay with ultra-smooth action. Plus, the 1ms response time helps capture your moves in real-time, allowing you to react fast for gaming precision
- AMD FreeSync reduces choppiness, screen lag and image tearing, ensuring that your fast-paced, complex in-game action is stable with minimal stutter
- Ergonomic stand allows for tilt, pivot and height adjustments to maximize gaming comfort
3. Razer Basilisk V3 Pro: best wireless mouse deal
2024 deal: $99, reduced from $159, for an advertised $60 saving.
The Basilisk V3 Pro was listed with a 30,000 DPI sensor, HyperSpeed wireless connectivity, up to 150 hours of battery life, and 13-zone Chroma RGB lighting. Laptop Mag also noted that it had previously dropped to $129 during Prime Day, making the reported $99 price especially notable in the roundup.
It was the mouse to consider for players who wanted wireless connectivity and extensive lighting customization. DPI and battery claims should be treated as listed maximum specifications: actual battery life depends on lighting, settings, and usage. Shape, weight, grip style, and button placement matter at least as much as sensor resolution, so the discount alone does not guarantee a good fit.
4. Glorious GMMK 2 Prebuilt 96%: the biggest advertised percentage discount
2024 deal: $58, reduced from $119, for an advertised $61 saving.
The prebuilt GMMK 2 used a 96% layout with linear mechanical switches, a wired connection, hot-swappable switches, and RGB lighting. The listed specifications included a 3.9mm actuation distance and 45g actuation force.
Rank #3
- Smooth motion: 240Hz refresh rate and fast 0.5ms response time provide crisp visuals and fluid movement with less input lag.
- Seamless gaming: FreeSync Premium and HDMI VRR eliminate tearing for smooth, responsive PC and console gameplay.
- Fast IPS: Faster 0.5ms response with excellent color accuracy across wide IPS viewing angles.
- Rich color: 99% sRGB color coverage delivers vivid, detailed imagery with strong accuracy.
- Eye comfort: TÜV Rheinland 3‑star certified display lowers blue light while preserving color quality.
At approximately 51.3%, it had the largest advertised markdown of the seven products. That makes it the clearest value play if the buyer wanted a mechanical keyboard and liked linear switches.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteCheck the layout carefully before buying a similar model. A 96% board retains much of a full-size keyboard’s functionality but is not identical to a conventional 100% board in key placement and spacing. It also may not suit buyers who prefer tactile or clicky switches. Unlike a barebones kit, this was described as a prebuilt keyboard.
5. Astro Gaming A50 Gen 4: wireless audio with a platform warning
2024 deal: $149, reduced from $249, for an advertised $100 saving.
The A50 Gen 4 was listed with Dolby Atmos tuning, RF wireless connectivity, a stated 30-foot range, and a built-in microphone. The reported price was particularly relevant for buyers seeking a premium wireless headset with a charging-oriented design.
Check the platform version before buying. The roundup distinguished Xbox/PC and PlayStation/PC versions. Do not assume that one A50 Gen 4 SKU works identically across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. Wireless range is a stated specification, not a guarantee of identical real-world performance in every room.

Wireless convenience must also be weighed against battery aging, software support, microphone performance, and compatibility. 6. Corsair TC100 Leatherette: a setup-comfort upgrade
2024 deal: $179, reduced from $249, for an advertised $70 saving.
The TC100 Leatherette was listed in black with a seat-height range of 17.7 to 21.6 inches and a stated maximum capacity of 264.55 pounds. Laptop Mag described it as comfortable and stylish, but the roundup did not provide a test methodology or detailed ergonomic measurements.
This was the most relevant deal for someone whose current chair was the weakest part of their setup. Chair fit is highly personal: seat depth, desk height, armrest adjustment, recline range, user height, and return policy all matter. The listed weight capacity is not a substitute for checking the current manufacturer specification and warranty. An ergonomic office chair may be a better choice for buyers who spend long hours working as well as gaming.
7. Asus TUF Gaming VG27VQMY: 240Hz gaming at 1080p
2024 deal: $179, reduced from $259, for an advertised $80 saving.

- 1800R curve monitor the curved display delivers a revolutionary visual experience with a leading 1800R screen curvature as the images appear to wrap around you for an in depth, immersive experience

- High refresh rate 75Hz.Brightness (cd/m²):250 cd/m2
- Vesa wall mount ready; Lamp Life: 30,000+ Hours
- Windows 10 Sceptre Monitors are fully compatible with Windows 10, the most recent operating System available on PCs.Brightness: 220 cd/M2
The monitor was listed with a 27-inch IPS panel, 1,920 × 1,080 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, Nvidia G-Sync support, one DisplayPort 1.2 connection, and two HDMI 2.0 ports. Its main appeal was clear: competitive players could prioritize a very high refresh rate without requiring the GPU performance associated with higher resolutions.
The important trade-off is resolution. At 27 inches, 1080p generally prioritizes speed and lower GPU demand over desktop sharpness. A 240Hz panel is most useful when a PC and the games being played can produce high frame rates. For story-driven games, productivity, or high-resolution visual work, a 1440p monitor with a lower refresh rate may be a better fit.
The source did not establish response-time behavior, overdrive quality, HDR performance, brightness, or whether 240Hz was available through every input. Do not treat the refresh-rate figure alone as proof of superior motion handling.

What to check before buying a similar deal today
- Confirm the exact model and generation. Older hardware may be discontinued, replaced, or available only through marketplace sellers.
- Check the seller and condition. New, open-box, refurbished, and marketplace listings can have different warranties and return terms.
- Compare the current price independently. A “was” price is an advertised comparison, not proof of the lowest historical price.
- Verify compatibility. This is essential for platform-specific headsets, monitor inputs, and Windows handheld accessories.
- Match the product to the rest of the setup. A 240Hz monitor requires a PC and games capable of high frame rates, while a handheld has different performance and battery constraints than a desktop.
- Check fit-sensitive purchases in detail. Keyboard layout, mouse shape, headset version, and chair dimensions can matter more than the headline discount.
