For Ranch production in Palworld, choose a Pal for the resource it produces: Vixy offers a useful mix of drops, while Chikipi, Mozzarina, and Beegarde are focused sources of eggs, milk, and honey. Here, “Farming” means grazing at a Ranch—not growing crops, which uses separate Planting, Watering, and Gathering work. There is no single best Ranch worker for every base or stage of progression.

Which Pals are best for Ranch production?

This is a practical selection of accessible staples and later-game specialists, not an official tier list. Third-party guides identify these Pals for the outputs below; pick according to what you need to make or craft.

Pal Ranch output Best fit
Vixy Pal Spheres, arrows, and gold coins; drops are random Mixed early utility
Chikipi Eggs Egg supply, including an ingredient stream for cake
Mozzarina Milk Milk for cooking and cake recipes
Beegarde Honey Honey for the cake ingredient chain
Lamball Wool Accessible wool production
Dumud Gild High Quality Pal Oil and gold coins Later-game material needs
Sibelyx High Quality Cloth Players who need that material directly

Vixy: flexible drops for an early base

Vixy is a useful general-purpose choice when you want a variety of items rather than one dedicated material. Its Ranch drops are random, so do not count on a particular item or a fixed mix in each production cycle. A newer guide says Pal Sphere tiers can rise with Ranch or Partner Skill rank, but higher thresholds are not guaranteed in every case; check the behavior in your current game client. PalworldCenter’s Ranch guide and PCGamesN’s farming guide discuss Vixy’s drops.

Chikipi, Mozzarina, and Beegarde: focused cake ingredients

Use Chikipi for eggs, Mozzarina for milk, and Beegarde for honey. These distinct outputs make it easier to address a specific ingredient shortage than to rely on a mixed-output worker. Guides identify all three as Ranch producers and describe the goods as useful in cooking or cake production. PCGamesN’s guide and Dot Esports’ Ranch guide cover these choices.

Lamball: a straightforward wool source

Lamball is an accessible option when wool is what your base needs. It is not the only Pal associated with wool: guides also list Cremis and Melpaca, so Lamball is a staple choice rather than a unique source. PCGamesN and PalworldCenter list wool-producing Ranch Pals.

Dumud Gild and Sibelyx: later-game material specialists

Choose Dumud Gild when High Quality Pal Oil is the target; the August 2026 guide also lists gold coins among its Ranch drops. Sibelyx is the direct pick for High Quality Cloth. These are useful expansions to an early-game roster, rather than substitutes for the basic egg, milk, honey, or wool roles. See Dot Esports’ Ranch guide.

How to choose the right Ranch Pal

  • Start with the bottleneck: eggs, milk, and honey point to Chikipi, Mozzarina, and Beegarde; wool points to Lamball; High Quality Pal Oil or High Quality Cloth points to Dumud Gild or Sibelyx.
  • Consider progression: Vixy and the basic ingredient or wool workers are practical staples, while Dumud Gild and Sibelyx are later-game options in the cited guide.
  • Choose mixed or focused production: Vixy offers several kinds of drops, but they are random. A specialist is more appropriate when you need one named output.
  • For food supplies: Caprity can produce Red Berries. A berry plantation is another route, so it is an alternative for food production rather than a required Ranch pick. PCGamesN describes both options.

The seven picks are a curated spread, not a complete Ranch catalog. A third-party database lists other Ranch producers, including Dumud, Foxcicle, Kelpsea, Shroomer, and Woolipop Terra. PalworldBreeding.gg’s Ranch database gives its catalog count as of August 13, 2026.

How the Ranch works and how to keep it productive

According to PalworldCenter’s guide, the Ranch unlocks at Technology 5, can hold up to four Pals, and requires Farming suitability for assignment. That guide describes Ranch outputs as species-specific: a Pal produces its own listed goods rather than changing its output to match a job you want it to do. Game details can change, so confirm the unlock and capacity in your current client.

  1. Unlock and build the Ranch: reach Technology 5, then check the construction requirements shown in your game. Third-party guides disagree on the precise ingredient totals, so the client is the useful reference for your version.
  2. Assign a suitable Pal: choose a Pal with Farming suitability and the output you want. If another base task keeps drawing it away, Dot Esports says you can hard-assign workers using the monitoring stand.
  3. Keep the work area practical: make sure workers can reach the Ranch, food, and any routes they need for base tasks. Clear paths and accessible food help avoid preventable interruptions.
  4. Use Condensation to increase quantity, not to change the item: guides describe Condensation as improving production quantity or efficiency. It does not give a Pal a different species-specific Ranch output.

Exact Ranch drop intervals are not established as a published Pocketpair production clock in the cited guides. No items-per-hour rate is given here, and output can depend on the Pal and setup. Treat Vixy’s higher-tier sphere drops particularly cautiously and verify them in your client rather than planning around an assumed threshold.

What the Ranch does not do

Ranch Farming is distinct from crop-field automation. The Ranch produces goods associated with the Pal species assigned to it; crop production uses the separate Planting, Watering, and Gathering work loop. If the goal is berries or other planted crops, plan a field and its required work suitability instead of expecting a Ranch Pal to replace that system.
