The next scheduled event is Halloween Begins, set for October 17 at 17:00 UTC—not a new-classes release countdown. At the October 7, 2026 update check, that event was 9 days, 17 hours, 47 minutes, and 16 seconds away; its schedule may change.
When did the New Classes update release?
The New Classes update released on September 5, 2026. It is not an upcoming update. The fan-maintained 99 Nights in the Forest Wiki update page records the release and its additions.
What did the New Classes update add?
Three playable classes
- Escape Artist
- Elemental
- Woodsman, which starts with the unique Woodsman’s Axe
The update also added class-specific quests, daily quests, fire offerings, and three class quest badges. A fan guide quotes the developer statement as “New classes, daily quests, fire offerings and more.”
Class quest badge objectives
- Escape Artist: be chased by seven Alpha Wolves at once.
- Elemental: apply poison, ice, or fire effects to 50 different enemies.
- Woodsman: chop down 40 trees in 30 seconds.
These are quest objectives, not general class perks. The cited update coverage does not fully establish every class’s price or abilities, so those details are not listed here.
