Where to find Demineur in Flying Waters
The quest takes place in Act 1. A community walkthrough labels Flying Waters as level 8, but that is general progression guidance, not a strict quest requirement (Expedition 33 Wiki Act 1 walkthrough, updated December 15, 2025).

- Continue through Flying Waters until you reach the Noco’s Hut expedition flag.
- From the flag, do not follow the apparent main route up-left. Head toward the back and pass through the large opening.
- Look for the white Demineur in the area beyond the opening.
This route and location are described in PC Gamer’s Demineur quest guide, last updated April 28, 2025.
How to find the Intact Mine
- Stand near the Demineur and take the path to its right.
- Jump across the chasm to the rock on the opposite side.
- Look to the right and hop along the rocks until you reach the purple item.
- Pick it up to obtain the Intact Mine.
To return, jump down from the ledge and head back up the original route through the cave opening to the Demineur.

How to complete the handover and claim Deminerim
Interact with the Demineur while carrying the Intact Mine and select “Hey, hold this.” The handover gives Lune the Deminerim weapon. PC Gamer describes it as a lightning weapon that scales with luck. Its guide also reports that upgrades can reduce AP costs for lightning skills and increase lightning skill damage by 20%; these are the guide’s item details, not independently tested figures.
Should you fight the Demineur?
Wait until after handing over the mine if you want Deminerim. PC Gamer warns that attacking the Demineur before returning the Intact Mine makes the quest impossible to complete and forfeits the weapon reward. After the handover, you can choose to fight it; the guide reports three Colour of Lumina and one Chroma Catalyst for defeating it.

The same guide describes its attacks as lightning spells and ranged attacks that can be dodged, and mentions free-aiming at its mine. Those combat details are optional; the important decision is to finish the handover before starting a fight.

The available guides do not establish whether a killed Demineur or failed handover can be restored. The community walkthrough says Act 1 areas remain accessible, but that does not confirm a way to reset this quest. Do not assume revisiting Flying Waters will recover the reward.
