Space shown in one category does not confirm that every category has room. Player reports describe this mismatch, but they do not establish one cause or prove that every case is the same bug.
Check every inventory category’s count
Look at the used/total count shown for each inventory category, not just the visible space in the tab where you are trying to move an item. A December 2024 Steam discussion about an apparently empty inventory includes a community reply suggesting this check; it is a troubleshooting lead, not a confirmed universal fix. Steam discussion
Inspect less-obvious items and settings
The same Steam reply suggests checking valuables and mutation samples, and finding out whether mods are enabled. These are community suggestions rather than official Techland instructions. Try them as checks, but do not assume any one category or mod is responsible unless the counts or your own testing show it.
Check for the latest update on your platform
Techland’s November 3, 2024 hotfix notes addressed several inventory- and stash-related issues. They say Tolga and Fatin quest items lost when both inventory and stash were full would be returned after loading or sleeping in-game, provided there was an empty slot in both inventory and stash. The hotfix page told players to use version 1.15.3 at that time. That is historical guidance, not the current version: Techland’s patch index lists later releases, including update 1.29 dated June 25, 2026. For a useful report, include your platform, installed game version, the item or action blocked, the affected category, and a screenshot if you can capture one. These details can help describe what happened; they are practical suggestions, not stated Techland ticket requirements.
