A June 2025 report said a list of possible EA SPORTS FC 26 ICONs was in testing. EA’s later announcement confirmed the final class: 12 new players, from Zlatan Ibrahimović and Alex Morgan to Oliver Kahn and Cha Bum-Kun. The reported leak was a pre-release claim, not confirmation of the final roster.
Was the FC 26 ICON leak confirmed?
MeriStation / AS reported on June 26, 2025, that an X post attributed to @AsyFutTrader had shared names said to be in testing. The report described a purported leak, not an official EA roster announcement. EA later announced its new ICON class; that announcement is the source for the confirmed names. Read the June 26 report.
Who are the 12 new EA SPORTS FC 26 ICONs?
EA’s announced class includes these 12 players:
- Zlatan Ibrahimović
- Alex Morgan
- Andrés Iniesta
- Toni Kroos
- Caroline Seger
- Giorgio Chiellini
- Sissi
- Francesco Totti
- Marcelo
- Steffi Jones
- Oliver Kahn
- Cha Bum-Kun
EA’s feature page adds career context for the new class. For example, it credits Marcelo with 25 trophies at Real Madrid, including six LaLiga titles and five UEFA Champions League titles; Iniesta with nine LaLiga titles and four Champions League titles with Barcelona; and Kroos with six Champions League wins. See EA’s FC 26 ICONs feature.
How do Debut and Champion ICON versions differ?
EA described Debut ICONs as representing an early moment in a player’s career, while Champion versions represent a major career achievement. These are two versions of a player, not two additional players in the new class.

EA’s 2025 Ultimate Edition preorder offer was one untradeable Debut ICON selected from a 15-ICON reward pool. EA said that item was scheduled to upgrade to a Champion version in November 2025. The preorder and upgrade dates have passed; the offer should not be treated as currently available.
Are there 12 new ICON cards or more?
The 12 figure is the number of new players EA announced. FourFourTwo reported on September 24, 2025, that FC 26 had 159 ICON cards in total, counting versions. That total is a dated secondary-source count, not a figure given in EA’s announcement. Read FourFourTwo’s September 24 list.

What did the 15-ICON preorder pool include?
The 15-player pool for the 2025 Ultimate Edition preorder reward included the 12 newly announced ICONs plus Ronaldo Nazário (R9), Thierry Henry, and Steven Gerrard. The 15 were reward choices, not 15 newly added players. EA’s announcement also listed PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Luna, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 as platforms. Its launch dates—September 26, 2025 worldwide and September 19 for Ultimate Edition early access—are historical. Read EA’s announcement.
