Which platforms can you play Gekishin Squadra on?
Bandai Namco lists the free-to-play game for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Steam, the App Store and Google Play. The publisher describes it as an online game for up to eight players. Bandai Namco’s official game page marks cross-platform play and progression as supported.
When did Gekishin Squadra release?
Bandai Namco’s August 29, 2025 announcement set the service start for September 10, 2025. Its October 9, 2025 launch notice confirmed that service had begun. The launch-date announcement and the launch notice list PS5, PS4, Switch, Steam, iOS and Android.
Nintendo’s US store page lists September 9, 2025 for the Switch edition. That is the date shown on the US listing; it differs from Bandai Namco’s announced service-start date, so the two dates should be attributed to their respective sources rather than treated as interchangeable. Nintendo’s US listing identifies the game as digital software.

What kind of game is it?
Gekishin Squadra is a free-to-play online team battle game with in-app purchases. Its core mode is four-versus-four, with heroes organized into Damage, Tank and Technical roles. During a battle, players earn EXP and level up to unlock skills and strengthen attacks. Teams capture enemy strongholds and then try to take the Dragon Ball in the opposing team’s territory to win.
Customization includes skins, entrance animations and finisher animations. The Switch edition is listed at 6.8 GB on Nintendo’s US store page; Nintendo notes that compatibility and experience may differ on Switch Lite. Switch supports TV, tabletop and handheld play. How do cross-play and cross-progression work?
Cross-play lets players on supported platforms play together. Progression can also carry between platforms, but players must create an account and link a Bandai Namco ID in-game to transfer save data.

There is an important purchase restriction: Dragon Gems, including those bought with real money, remain usable only on the platform where they were acquired. Content purchased with Dragon Gems can be used across platforms. Check the publisher’s account and cross-progression details before switching platforms or buying currency.

Because the publisher lists cross-play and progression support, platform choice need not determine who you can play with or whether linked save progress can transfer. The practical differences are the device you want to use, where you already play, and the platform-specific handling of Dragon Gems. For portable play, Switch offers handheld mode as well as TV and tabletop modes; Nintendo cautions that Switch Lite compatibility and experience may differ.
