Give him an Iris of Grace for Fire Knight Queelign Spirit Ash, or an Iris of Occultation for Queelign’s Greatsword. The rewards are mutually exclusive, so choose the one you want before making the offer.
Defeat Queelign at both invasion sites
The order of the invasions can vary. If Queelign is absent at one location, check the other; you need to defeat him at both.
Belurat, Tower Settlement
Start at the Small Private Altar Site of Grace. Go up the stairs and look for a small courtyard with grave markers, where Queelign invades.
Church of the Crusade, Scadu Altus
Queelign also invades at the Church of the Crusade. The second defeat awards the Prayer Room Key and Ash of War: Flame Skewer. The first encounter is also associated with the Crusade Insignia talisman in PC Gamer’s walkthrough.

Use the Prayer Room Key in Shadow Keep
- Travel through Moorth Ruins and Bonny Village to reach the Church District entrance in Shadow Keep.
- Cross the rooftops and rafters toward the flooded center until you reach the locked Prayer Room door.
- Use the Prayer Room Key to enter and speak with Queelign.
PowerPyx’s July 2, 2024 walkthrough reports that the quest can still be completed after burning the Sealing Tree at the Church of the Bud, which it identifies as a point of no return. Choose the iris and reward

Choose the Spirit Ash if you want Queelign as a summonable ally; choose the Greatsword if you want his weapon. The quest choice does not provide both rewards in one playthrough, according to the walkthroughs.

Iris of Grace
In Shadow Keep’s Specimen Storehouse, take the elevator down from the Storehouse, First Floor Site of Grace. Follow the corridor to the balcony and look below it, in the lower level of a long room with beds and living pot enemies.
Iris of Occultation
One can be found in the Fort of Reprimand basement: drop through the hole in the courtyard and defeat the Omenkiller around the corner. PC Gamer also lists an Iris of Occultation in the Church District after draining it. These locations are described in the PC Gamer Queelign quest guide; the Elden Ring Wiki’s Iris of Occultation page provides community-maintained corroboration.
