How to get the Heavy Metal title now
Play Heavy Metal when it appears in Crucible Ops and complete the Triumphs shown in the in-game Heavy Metal title seal. Bungie confirms that the mode is back on a permanent rotation, but its announcement does not specify a schedule or list the current title requirements. Check the live game for the queue’s availability and the seal’s objectives rather than assuming the 2025 checklist is unchanged.

Heavy Metal is a vehicle-focused Crucible mode. In the updated version, you choose a vehicle before each match; the available lineup named by Bungie is the Drake, Brig, and Cabal Behemoth. Bungie’s Monument of Triumph announcement describes Heavy Metal as a permanent Crucible Ops rotation, but does not state how often it appears.
Known Heavy Metal Triumphs from the 2025 title record
The following eight Triumphs appear in light.gg’s record for the Heavy Metal title. Treat them as the recorded 2025 checklist, not as a verified list of requirements after the 2026 return: Bungie’s current announcement does not say whether the Triumphs were retained, changed, or replaced. Confirm each objective and its progress condition in-game before using this list as a completion route.

These names and descriptions are from light.gg’s Heavy Metal title record, a third-party database rather than confirmation of the post-return seal from Bungie.
What changed since the 2025 event
Heavy Metal debuted in May 2025 as an event with Event Homes, daily and weekly challenges, an Event Track, and currencies used to unlock additional rewards. Bungie highlighted the Gryphon Combat Sparrow as an Event Track reward. The Gryphon is an in-game Sparrow, not a physical vehicle. Bungie’s May 8, 2025 update described that event structure and reward.
Before the 2025 event ended, Bungie told players to finish the Event Track, title Triumphs, and gilding by May 16, 2025, at 9:59; the post did not specify a timezone for that time. It also said Heavy Metal would return in the future. The later permanent Crucible Ops rotation confirms the mode’s return, but does not establish that the old event currencies, track, rewards, or Triumph requirements are available in their original form. Bungie’s May 15, 2025 update contains the deadline and return notice.
Is the Heavy Metal title pin still available?
Bungie’s May 8, 2025 post offered a Heavy Metal Title Pin through Bungie Rewards to players who earned the title, with a July 14, 2025 completion deadline. That deadline documents the historical offer; it does not establish whether the pin can still be purchased or is in stock. Check Bungie Rewards for current availability rather than treating the old offer as open.

Does Heavy Metal count toward Guardian Rank titles?
Bungie’s Year 7 known-issues article, last updated July 2, 2025, said the Heavy Metal title did not count toward the Guardian Rank 8 and 9 title objectives at that time. That dated notice does not establish whether the issue was fixed later. If you are pursuing those ranks, check the current in-game objectives and whether earning the title registers.
