Game pre-registration was reported open on September 7, 2026, but that is separate from applying for a closed beta. The available sources do not confirm whether another public test has been announced.
What is Honkai: Nexus Anima?
HoYoverse describes Honkai: Nexus Anima as a creature-collecting adventure strategy game in the Honkai series. Its announced premise centers on forming bonds with Anima—creatures linked to paired concepts—and drawing on their powers in strategic battles and during exploration. The Evolution Test announcement also mentioned additional characters, Anima, regions, and gameplay systems. Gematsu’s Evolution Test report reproduces the HoYoverse overview.
Can you still apply for the beta?
The public Evolution Test application window ran from June 22 through July 3, 2026. Qualification notices began July 6, and the test itself ran July 9–27. Applying did not guarantee an invitation. It was a limited, free, closed test, and player data was wiped; free access to the test does not establish how the finished game will be monetized. Gematsu and TechRadar reported these test details.
The earlier Nexus Bond Test ran September 17–23, 2025. A separate China-only confidential program is not the same as public beta recruitment. An unofficial specialist timeline says its phase-three recruitment opened September 17, 2026, with real-name account, age, WeChat, and confidentiality requirements; those details should be treated as that source’s report, not as independently verified HoYoverse terms. GamerBraves’ timeline covers the program.

Is pre-registration the same as beta sign-up?
No. TechRadar reported on September 7, 2026, that game pre-registration was open. Pre-registration is not an application for a closed test and does not mean a player has been selected for one. The TechRadar report also identifies PC, iOS, and Android as platforms for the upcoming game.
The Evolution Test announcement likewise listed PC, iOS, and Android. The cited sources do not establish console availability, so support for other platforms should not be assumed from other HoYoverse games. The sources also do not establish a release date or launch window. Gematsu

What to watch for next
The latest public beta window documented here is the July 2026 Evolution Test. The official website did not provide readable page text in the available check, so that alone cannot establish whether HoYoverse has since announced another test. For a new application window, look for a dated announcement from HoYoverse rather than treating game pre-registration or a region-specific confidential program as public beta recruitment.
