If you are looking for one of these items now, your routes are the official PlayStation collection page for your country, the participating retailers Sony names for that market, and, for some items, secondhand sellers. Which route works depends on where you live and on what stock is left at the point of checkout.
What the 2024 preorder windows were
Sony announced the collection on its PlayStation.Blog on September 19, 2024, stating that the collection “will be sold in highly limited supply in the following options.” The announced schedule was:
- September 26, 2024: direct.playstation.com preorders began in the regions Sony listed, and the standalone 30th Anniversary DualSense was scheduled at participating retailers from the same date.
- October 10, 2024: participating-retailer preorders for the PS5 Digital Edition slim bundle were scheduled to open.
Sony’s direct-sales regions at the time were the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Austria. Buyers in other regions were pointed to participating retailers. Those windows are historical. A preorder button that still appears on a regional page does not reopen them.
What is in the collection
The collection has five product types: two console bundles and three standalone devices. The table below lists what Sony’s official materials describe. Where a detail is not confirmed for a specific item, the table says so rather than assuming it.
#1 Best Overall
- Relive the titles that made gaming history – Includes the original Street Fighter released in 1987 which introduced two of gaming’s most famous heroes, Ryu and Ken. Additionally, the iconic Street Fighter II became the first ever one-on-one video game that gave players a choice of characters, including the debut of the series’ strongest female Chun-Li. Street Fighter III continued the core numbered series and was the first game to introduce the parry attack.
- New gameplay options including online play – Players can utilize save states as they progress through the game offline. In addition, players can duke it out online in four classic titles (Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Street Fighter III: Third Strike). In addition to Ranked and Casual Match options, up to four players can join a lobby where they can play against the CPU while waiting for their match.
- Hadoken your way down memory lane – Revisit historic moments from the series and explore an interactive timeline of events that helped create one of the world’s leading fighting game series. View stunning pieces of concept art and uncover little known facts behind each game release.
- Learn more about fan-favourite characters – Scroll through character bios and learn new details about series favorites whilst enjoying sprites and key animations to see how the classic fighters have evolved over time.
| Product | Type | Included or described items | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary bundle | Numbered console bundle | PS5 Pro console, matching DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers, charging station, console cover for the disc drive, vertical stand, collector extras | Sony says the numbered PS5 Pro consoles are limited to 12,300 units globally. This limit applies only to the numbered PS5 Pro consoles, not to the whole collection. |
| PS5 Digital Edition slim 30th Anniversary bundle | Console bundle | PS5 Digital Edition slim console, DualSense, drive cover, vertical stand, collector items | Sony’s Canadian page does not list the disc drive as included in this bundle. Check the full package list on your local page before buying. |
| 30th Anniversary DualSense controller | Standalone controller | Controller only | Scheduled for participating retailers from September 26, 2024. |
| 30th Anniversary DualSense Edge controller | Standalone controller | Controller only | Sold separately from the PS5 Pro bundle. |
| PlayStation Portal Remote Player 30th Anniversary | Standalone device | Remote Player only | Included in the collection as a standalone item. |
How to buy now: a step-by-step route
- Find your country’s official PlayStation page. Start from the PlayStation website and select your country. Routes are market-specific, so a link from another region may show different products or sellers.
- Look for the listed sellers. In regions outside Sony’s direct-sales list, the official page points to participating retailers. Buy only from sellers Sony names for your market.
- Check the package details before you pay. Compare the included hardware against the table above, especially whether the drive cover, controllers, or disc drive are part of the bundle you are viewing.
- Verify stock at checkout. A preorder prompt is not proof of inventory. Sony’s Canadian collection page has shown preorder prompts for some items alongside a notice that availability is limited to select retailers. Treat that as a reason to check the seller directly, not as confirmation that you can order.
Choosing between the bundles and standalone items
The main decision is whether you want a complete package or a single device. The PS5 Pro bundle is the most expensive option and the only one tied to the 12,300-unit console limit, so it is the hardest to find. The slim Digital Edition bundle is a different package with a different console, and it is the better fit only if you want that console. If you already own a PS5 or a Portal, a standalone controller or Portal Remote Player may be the only realistic purchase, and it avoids paying for hardware you do not need.
Regional pricing example: Thailand
Sony Store Thailand published terms for a Thailand preorder window on September 25, 2025, with shipping from September 26, 2025. These are dated, Thailand-only figures and should not be read as current prices or as applying in any other country.

| Product (Thailand terms, 2025) | Listed price |
|---|---|
| PS5 Digital Edition 30th Anniversary bundle | 17,480 baht |
| 30th Anniversary DualSense | 2,690 baht |
| 30th Anniversary DualSense Edge and PlayStation Portal Remote Player | 8,590 baht each |
The same terms required full payment through Sony Store’s stated process and limited purchases to one of each product per person, under the conditions in those terms. Confirm the current terms on your own market’s Sony Store before ordering, because any of these conditions may have changed.
Buying secondhand or from a resale listing
Resale listings may be priced above the original, and they do not carry the seller terms that came with the 2024 preorders. Before buying one, confirm the item is new and sealed if you want the collector extras, check that the listing includes the components you expect from the table above, and for the numbered PS5 Pro bundle, check whether the listing shows the unit’s number. A listing that omits the cover, stand, or charging station is a different product from the full bundle.

When the checkout does not work
- The item is missing from your country’s page: the product may not be sold in your market. Check the participating retailers named for your region rather than a store in another country.
- The preorder button is active but the cart says sold out: stock is set at checkout, so the button alone does not indicate availability. Try another named retailer for the same item.
- A seller outside the named list offers the bundle: confirm the seller is listed for your market before paying, and be cautious about any price far above the original.
Use the official PlayStation page for your country as your starting point, buy from a seller it names, and check stock and included items at checkout. That is the only route that matches what Sony actually offered.
