Sony’s PULSE Elevate are wireless desktop gaming speakers for PS5, PC and Mac, with PlayStation Link and Bluetooth connections. Sony has announced a November 12, 2026 launch, with regional recommended prices starting at $219.99 USD. As of October 4, 2026, that date is still in the future, so buyers should check local listings for availability and final pricing.
What are Sony PULSE Elevate speakers?
PULSE Elevate is a pair of wireless speakers developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment for desktop gaming. Sony positions them for PS5, PC and Mac setups, with portable use also possible with PlayStation Portal or compatible Bluetooth devices. They are speakers rather than a headset, so they offer a way to hear game audio without wearing headphones.
Each speaker has a planar magnetic driver and a built-in woofer. The right speaker houses a microphone. The package includes charging docks and a PlayStation Link USB adapter compatible with USB-C ports. Sony also describes adjustable orientation, speaker controls, and built-in volume and mute controls.
How do PlayStation Link and Bluetooth work?
PlayStation Link is Sony’s low-latency wireless connection for supported devices. Sony lists PS5, PC, Mac and PlayStation Portal compatibility. Bluetooth adds connections to compatible devices such as smartphones, TVs and streaming devices.

- LINE SHAPED DIFFUSER: Sony's unique Line-Shape Diffuser creates line source and distributes the sound evenly, across a wide sound front, to better fill your space with audio.
- IP67 RATING: The XE300 is waterproof, so you'll have no worries by the sea or the pool side. Additionally, with an IP67 rating, your speaker is sealed against dust, so you can use it on any surface, wherever you take it.
- LONG BATTERY LIFE WITH QUICK CHARGING: Keep the party going with up to 24-hours of battery life on a single charge, and USB-C quick charging gives you up to 70 minutes of playback after just 10 minutes of charge time.
- X-BALANCED SPEAKERS: X-Balanced speakers provide power, clarity, and distortion-free sound.
- APP CONTROL: Personalized sound control via the Sony | Music Center app. The Fiestable app enhances the mood with cool effects.
The speakers can play audio at the same time from a PlayStation Link-connected device and a separate Bluetooth device. That allows, for example, game audio from a console or computer alongside music or a call from a phone. Sony’s announcement includes the Link adapter and charging docks, so the cited product information does not indicate that either must be bought separately.
What features are specific to PS5?
Sony says Tempest 3D AudioTech is available for supported PS5 games. That qualification matters: Sony does not promise the feature for every PS5 title, nor does its product information extend that Tempest feature to PC or Mac.

What early hands-on coverage tells us—and what it does not
In a June 1, 2026 pre-release hands-on preview for TechRadar, Harry Padoan described hearing game audio and music and trying the built-in microphone during a demonstration. He reported a positive initial impression but said more time was needed to assess performance, particularly for music. This was a demonstration, not a long-term review or a controlled comparison with other speakers.

- [Bluetooth V5.4 & Multipoint Connections]: With Bluetooth V5.4, the QR30 offers stable audio streaming and can connect to two devices simultaneously, making it easy to switch between sources

- [Easy Control]: Easily control playback mode, volume, and lighting effects using the side-mounted knobs
TechRadar also reported Sony product-development vice president Edwin Foo saying the speakers can operate for 12 hours away from the dock. That is a manufacturer statement reported in the preview, not an independently measured battery test. Sony’s official announcement and product page do not state a battery runtime.
Foo described the product’s aim to TechRadar this way: “When I said that we hope people view these speakers as a way to enjoy sound from headphones without wearing headphones, we meant it.” That is Sony’s stated intention, not evidence that the speakers match any particular headset’s sound quality.

Who should consider PULSE Elevate?
- PS5 players at a desk: Sony’s stated PS5 compatibility and Tempest 3D AudioTech support for supported games make this the clearest use case.
- PC or Mac desktop players: Sony names both platforms and supports PlayStation Link, with PC settings options due after launch.
- People who switch between desk and portable use: The rechargeable speakers and included docks are designed to support moving them, while Portal and Bluetooth device compatibility broaden their use.
- Players who want simultaneous sources: The Link-plus-Bluetooth feature can combine audio from a gaming device and a separate Bluetooth source.
The announced specifications establish compatibility and features, but do not establish comparative sound quality or value against a headset or another desktop speaker system. Buyers who prioritize those comparisons should wait for full retail reviews and compare them with their own needs and local pricing.
