A Look at BattleFly: Colosseum, Battlegrounds and Its Tokens

BattleFly is a digital strategy-game project in the TreasureDAO ecosystem. Its official materials describe two distinct experiences: Colosseum, a dynamic-draft tournament with Casual and Competitive modes, and Battlegrounds, which its guide explicitly marks as sunset. A Colosseum guide reports Season 3 and specific entry and reward terms, but those details do not confirm what is playable or offered today.

What is BattleFly?

BattleFly’s press kit describes it as an experimental player-versus-player and peer-to-peer strategy game built on the TreasureDAO ecosystem and powered by MAGIC. That is the project’s own characterization, not an independent assessment of the game or its current operation.

The name covers more than one game experience. The Colosseum guide describes a draft-based tournament, while the separate Battlegrounds guide says that Battlegrounds has been sunset. They should not be treated as two currently available modes of one live game.

How does Colosseum work?

The Colosseum Game Guide describes a dynamic draft tournament: players assemble a BattleFly from Mods and try to use synergies and counterplay against opponents. Its narrator frames the format this way: “Build a unique BattleFly each tournament from hundreds of Mods, using synergy and counterplay to crush your opponents.” The guide also identifies Razorfin Deadstar as a BattleFly operator and 10x champion; that is the guide’s description, not an independent endorsement.

Casual and Competitive modes

The guide lists two modes and gives the following Season 3 entry and possible reward terms. These are guide-reported figures, not confirmation of current fees or prizes.

Mode Guide-reported entry Guide-reported possible rewards
Casual 1 MAGIC or 500 Nectar A Mod Pack Credit, Casual Colosseum Credit, and 500 Nectar
Competitive 5 MAGIC Up to 17.5 MAGIC and a Mod Pack Credit

The Colosseum guide reports Season 3, but the available documentation does not establish whether Colosseum is currently playable, which season is current, or whether the listed entry and reward terms still apply. Treat the table as a record of what the guide says, not as a present-day offer.

What do MAGIC, gFLY and Nectar do?

BattleFly’s token guide assigns the three tokens different roles. These are the guide’s descriptions; they do not establish current market value, availability, or status.

Token Role described in the guide
MAGIC The Treasure ecosystem token used to enter Competitive Colosseum.
gFLY BattleFly Network governance token, with a stated fixed supply of 10 million.
Nectar Described as non-tradable and non-transferable, earned through BattleFly Racer or Battlegrounds and used for Casual Colosseum entry.

In particular, the guide’s description of Nectar links it to Battlegrounds as an earning route, but Battlegrounds is marked sunset. That historical token description should not be read as evidence that the earning route is currently available.

What was Battlegrounds?

Battlegrounds was a separate BattleFly game whose guide explicitly states, “BattleFly Battlegrounds has been sunset.” Its former experiences included Proving Grounds and Hyperdome; the leagues guide documents that historical game structure. Its modes and rules are not a current alternative to Colosseum.

The archived game documentation also describes BattleFly performance as primarily driven by Mod synergy, with traits contributing as well. It discusses rarity-related choices and perks, but these are the game’s own design claims, not independent performance findings. See the Battlegrounds characteristics guide. The leaderboard rewards guide likewise records historical reward information rather than a current gameplay offer.

What can players confirm about BattleFly now?

The documentation establishes how BattleFly’s guides describe Colosseum and its tokens, and it clearly labels Battlegrounds as sunset. It does not verify Colosseum’s present operational status or whether its reported Season 3 terms remain in effect. Anyone considering entry should confirm current availability and terms through BattleFly’s own active channels before committing tokens. The material describes a digital game and token ecosystem; it does not support a recommendation for a physical BattleFly product.
