Acer’s Radeon RX 9070-series graphics cards are factory-overclocked models, not one single GPU. The range includes Nitro and Predator BiFrost cards built around both the Radeon RX 9070 and the faster RX 9070 XT. The standard Nitro RX 9070 XT OC is listed with a boost clock of up to 3,100 MHz, but its Acer US Store listing was out of stock when crawled in August 2026.
This guide separates factory overclocking from user tuning, compares the documented models, and explains what to verify before buying. Product pages and stock vary by region, so a listing on Acer’s website should not be treated as proof that a card is currently available in your country.

Nitro Radeon RX 9070 XT OC
The standard Nitro RX 9070 XT OC is the most clearly documented Acer RX 9070-series retail card in the United States. Acer lists it with:
- AMD RDNA 4 architecture
- 16GB GDDR6 memory
- 64 compute units, 64 ray accelerators, and 128 AI accelerators
- Advertised boost clock up to 3,100 MHz
- Advertised game clock up to 2,570 MHz
- Total board power of 340W
- Three FrostBlade 4.0 fans
- Three DisplayPort 2.1 outputs and one HDMI 2.1a output
- Recommended system input capacity of 750W
Acer’s Store page lists dimensions of approximately 11.61 × 4.72 × 1.97 inches and weight of approximately 2.12 lb. Check the live specification page before ordering because regional listings and revisions can differ.
The Acer US Store showed a listed price of $829.99 and an out-of-stock status when crawled in August 2026. That is a dated Acer-store price signal, not a current market-wide price or an indication of stock on September 8, 2026. See the Acer Store listing and the Acer product page.

Nitro Radeon RX 9070 XT OC L
Acer also lists a Nitro RX 9070 XT OC 16GB L. The “L” designation matters: it should not be assumed to be the same card as the standard Nitro XT with a cosmetic change.
- 16GB GDDR6 memory
- Advertised boost clock up to 3,060 MHz
- Total board power of 330W
- Three FrostBlade 4.0 fans
The L model has a slightly lower advertised boost and board-power rating than the standard Nitro RX 9070 XT OC. Acer’s surfaced page does not expose every comparison field as clearly, so verify exact dimensions, thickness, connector layout, BIOS configuration, and stock before using it for a clearance-sensitive build.
Product page: Acer Nitro RX 9070 XT OC 16GB L.
Nitro Radeon RX 9070 OC
The Nitro RX 9070 OC is the lower-power option in Acer’s documented Nitro range. Its listed specifications include:
- 16GB GDDR6 memory
- 56 compute units, 56 ray accelerators, and 112 AI accelerators
- Advertised boost clock up to 2,700 MHz
- Total board power of 245W
- Three FrostBlade 4.0 fans
Acer specifically documents a White Edition on its US product page. The white finish is a styling and SKU distinction, not evidence of higher performance. This model is the more sensible starting point for a 1440p-focused system, a build with less cooling capacity, or a buyer who places a high value on lower power consumption.

Predator BiFrost RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT
Acer’s promotion documentation identifies both Predator BiFrost variants. The Predator BiFrost RX 9070 OC also has a current US product page:
Predator BiFrost Radeon RX 9070 OC 16GB.
The Predator RX 9070 XT OC is documented under part number DP.Z4FWW.P01, but a full current US product page for that exact XT card was not confirmed in the available Acer material. Its US price, stock status, dimensions, cooler details, and warranty terms should therefore be checked directly with Acer or the seller.
Do not assume that Predator is automatically faster than Nitro. Performance depends on the underlying GPU, factory clock, power limits, cooling, firmware, and the individual sample. A Predator card is worth a premium only when its actual specifications, availability, warranty, and price justify it.
RX 9070 versus RX 9070 XT
| Characteristic | RX 9070 | RX 9070 XT |
|---|---|---|
| Acer examples | Nitro OC; Predator BiFrost OC | Nitro OC; Nitro OC L; Predator OC |
| Memory | 16GB GDDR6 | 16GB GDDR6 |
| Acer Nitro compute units | 56 | 64 |
| Acer Nitro ray accelerators | 56 | 64 |
| Acer Nitro AI accelerators | 112 | 128 |
| Acer Nitro advertised boost | Up to 2,700 MHz | Up to 3,100 MHz standard; 3,060 MHz L |
| Acer Nitro board power | 245W | 340W standard; 330W L |
The RX 9070 XT has more compute resources and higher advertised clocks, but it also demands substantially more power and produces more heat. It is the better fit for high-refresh 1440p, ultrawide, and 4K targets when the price premium is reasonable and the case and PSU can support it.
The RX 9070 is potentially easier to cool and less demanding on the power supply. It is the better choice when the price gap is large, the system has limited airflow, or the target is primarily 1440p rather than maximum performance.
These are specification-based conclusions, not a substitute for independent benchmarks. The supplied Acer material does not establish a fixed frame-rate difference between the models.

What “OC” actually means
Factory overclock: “OC” generally means Acer ships the card with an elevated advertised boost clock. For example, Acer lists the Nitro RX 9070 XT OC at up to 3,100 MHz and the Nitro RX 9070 OC at up to 2,700 MHz.
Manual overclocking: The owner can generally tune Radeon cards using AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition. This does not guarantee that every card will reach the same clock, voltage, memory speed, or performance level.
Automatic tuning: Adrenalin may offer automatic overclocking or undervolting presets, depending on the driver and GPU support. Menu names and capabilities can change, so use the current driver interface rather than relying on an old walkthrough.
A boost clock is a maximum advertised value, not a sustained speed guaranteed in every game. Actual behavior varies with workload, temperature, power limits, firmware, silicon quality, and ambient conditions. Manual tuning can increase power consumption, noise, temperature, and instability; check the warranty and overclocking terms that apply in your region.
Safe tuning approach for an Acer RX 9070 card
- Record stock clock behavior, temperature, hotspot temperature, fan speed, power draw, and a repeatable benchmark score.
- Change one control at a time. A mild undervolt or modest power-limit adjustment is often a more practical first experiment than immediately pursuing maximum clock speed.
- Test with more than one game and a repeatable benchmark. A profile that survives one workload may fail in another.
- Watch for driver resets, black screens, visual corruption, shader-compilation failures, and WHEA errors.
- Reduce the last change when instability appears, then save a known-good profile.
- Use Adrenalin’s reset or default-settings controls if the system becomes unstable.
There is no responsible universal voltage, memory frequency, fan curve, or expected percentage gain for every Acer sample. Independent card-specific testing would be required to make those claims.

Before ordering any Acer RX 9070-series card, verify the exact SKU rather than relying on the family name.
- PSU: Acer’s documented Nitro RX 9070 XT recommends a 750W system input capacity. The Nitro RX 9070 is rated at 245W board power, but follow its model-specific recommendation.
- Clearance: Check length, height, thickness, front-radiator clearance, and whether the card blocks adjacent expansion slots. Do not assume the OC L has the same dimensions as the standard XT.
- Power connectors: Confirm the exact connector requirement from the seller’s technical sheet or the relevant regional Acer specification page.
- Airflow: The 340W standard Nitro XT places considerably more demand on case ventilation than the 245W Nitro RX 9070.
- Display outputs: The documented Nitro XT has three DisplayPort 2.1 outputs and one HDMI 2.1a output, supporting up to four displays. Confirm the layout for other models.
- Drivers: Use current AMD Radeon drivers and Acer support resources. Driver behavior and software labels can change.
- Warranty and returns: Check the regional Acer policy and the seller’s return terms, particularly for obscure, imported, or clearance SKUs.
Shared platform features
Acer advertises these cards with AMD RDNA 4 architecture, 16GB GDDR6 memory, DirectX 12 Ultimate, OpenGL 4.6, AMD HYPR-RX, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 support, and the AMD Radiance Display Engine. The documented Nitro XT also lists three DisplayPort 2.1 outputs, one HDMI 2.1a output, and an 8K maximum display resolution.

Feature support is not the same as a universal result. FSR 4, frame generation, HYPR-RX, and ray-tracing behavior depend on compatible games, drivers, settings, and implementation. AMD’s RX 9070 XT overview provides the platform-level context.
Which Acer RX 9070 card should you buy?
- For the highest advertised Acer performance: choose the standard Nitro RX 9070 XT OC if its price, stock, clearance, and power requirements work for you. It is the highest-advertised Acer model documented here, not a claim that it is faster than every Predator or competing card in every region.
- For lower power and easier cooling: choose the Nitro RX 9070 OC, including the White Edition if it matches your build.
- For a clearance-sensitive build: consider the OC L only after confirming its exact dimensions, connectors, and airflow fit.
- For Predator styling: consider the BiFrost RX 9070 OC when it is locally available at a competitive price and its complete specifications are confirmed.
- For value: compare the exact Acer card with other 16GB RX 9070 or RX 9070 XT cards. Prefer the option with the better combination of price, stock, warranty, return policy, dimensions, and independently measured acoustics or thermals.
Acer’s RX 9070-series cards make the most sense for buyers who specifically want Acer’s design, support relationship, or a meaningful discount. They should not be bought solely because the model name ends in “OC,” and Predator should not command a premium without evidence that its complete package is better for your build.

Buyers without a compatible PC may also find Acer gaming desktops configured with an RX 9070 XT. One surfaced Acer Store configuration, the Nitro 85 Gaming Desktop N85-100-UR37, included a Ryzen 9 9900X, Radeon RX 9070 XT, 16GB DDR5, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, with a price signal of $2,099.99 sale price against $2,199.99 regular price.
Those figures are dated store signals rather than current guarantees. A desktop is generally a poor fit for someone who already owns a suitable CPU, motherboard, case, and PSU; in that situation, a standalone GPU is the relevant comparison.
Availability and buying checks
Acer’s catalog is regional. A product page can confirm that a model exists without proving that it is sold or in stock in your country. Before paying, confirm:
- The exact GPU—RX 9070 or RX 9070 XT.
- The exact family—Nitro, Predator BiFrost, standard XT, or OC L.
- The part number and memory capacity.
- Live stock and delivery terms in your region.
- Current price, rather than a launch or promotional figure.
- Dimensions, power connectors, PSU recommendation, and warranty.
- The seller’s return policy and whether the item is imported or refurbished.
For the standard Nitro RX 9070 XT OC, Acer’s US Store price of $829.99 was observed with the card out of stock in August 2026. Do not use that figure as a buy recommendation unless the live listing confirms both price and availability.
